The writer missed the point entirely. It's not about the rules then versus the rules now. Pruitt violated the trust our university, staff, and players placed in him. He has a proven lack of integrity, and he's certainly not someone who can or should be trusted, especially around impressionable young people.

This! I'm guessing every former Football HC( Fulmer,Fulmer,Fulmer) prior to NIL did the same thing along with help from boosters.Pruitt was just dumb enough to get caught. Which isn't surprising with all the years of probation his alma mater had prior to Saban. Guess he didn't learn what not to do.

Definitely the worst possible decision Fulmer could have made in his short time as AD. Other than his success as a DC, I don't know what the hell Fulmer was thinking. Especially as bad as he hates Als, just to hire one of them as our HC was inexcusable. I don't recall who else he was considering, but any of them would have been a better choice.

You’re right. Just saying, he still has a net worth of 6 million. If he blew his money tough crap, some people are struggling to put food on the table. I don’t feel sorry for any of these coaches.
