I’ll take the aggressiveness...as long as he learns. Derek Barnett had that in his scouting report at UT early in his career.

We had a few guys go a little overboard, no one cost us more than Banks. I’m pretty sure I saw one of the d line save one of our guys from ejection cause they wound up for a haymaker at one point and he grabbed them. Im surprised the refs let so much go on, people were talking every single play. As for Banks he looked good out there, but that stuff tonight has to stop or it will cost us.

In previous games, he didn't get a lot of penalties so it could be that he was just a little too hyped in his first game back. If he settles down, and I imagine he will, he allows Crouch to move outside.

I have supported Jeremy Banks from the first time I saw him run with the football and will continue to do so. I hated seeing him make 15-yard mistakes but he balled out. In his last game, he had two interceptions and no penalties if IRC.

He made some good plays. He will get less playing time if he gets another 15 yard penalty in the next game or two.

This is what i was worried about. Crouch has never looked comfortable at ILB. He was recruited to play edge. But who else is there? Eason is still a true freshman and Banks is very talented and has experience. But Banks needs to be slowly earned back into playing time. But Crouch didn't really show like and equal or better option tonight.

I was telling everyone we needed Banks back because he would be our starting linebacker. Many on here disagreed with me and thought kicking him off the team was a good idea. Some even said he would never play because he was recruited over.
