Jeff Lebby to interview for OC

Lebby was totally involved in the high powered offense that Baylor had under Briles. He would be unproven but certainly someone that might turn out to be a great hire.

From what I've gathered Lebby is essentially the quasi-OC at UCF. UCF plays at a very hyper-fast tempo a lot of times, so I'd hope if he was hired Pruitt could commit to it.

My main concern is UCF might be in a situation where Heupel is just running on Scott Frost's team for the most part. Plus they're so much better in terms of talent than the rest of their league that they could have run the T formation and still went 12-1 and won their league.
I don’t see that as a problem with CJP’ and his recruiting Staff . I do not know how well Helton recruited or if he was the head recruiter for the QB from Marietta for 2020.

Lebby has also spent 2 years as a recruiting coordinator at Baylor & won a Top 10 recruiter award in the Big 12.

Tee is a risk because he hasn’t been successful as a play caller.
Yea except for USC. I recall success there. No he didn't split play calling duties at any point. Even last year 4 of 5 of the top scoring games Tee was OC. They got worse when Tee was demoted. He gave ideas when he was pgc with Clay. They were successfully then too.

And the guy who never called plays isn't a bigger risk? 🤔

Terrible.

Just bring Tee in to coach QBs & be a passing game coordinator. Let Lebby be OC no other changes.
Why would you put Tee as QB coach... He's never been a QB coach other than his one year stint at New Mexico. He's a stud recruiter and a very good WR coach.

I feel it's a positional coaching promotion for him, which may be enticing enough to not need some sort of OC titling. Plus I love our current WR coach and I don't want to see him leaving over a move to RB. I see no reason to boot anyone, I think if you can add 2 to the staff then add 2, especially since Lebby and Tee both are good recruiters.

If you bring in Lebby and Tee, someone has to go. There's currently only one opening.

We disagree and it’s obvious. First game without Helton was last year’s bowl and SCHIANO looked like a guru! Whole season where he was unquestioned as the guy and the worst season since forever. Lebby called plays one season for a NAIA and killed it. I know the disparity in competition but he’s EXPERIENCED. And I like the football minds he’s been associated with in his career. Both are risks. Bigger is a matter of opinion. Tee is a good recruiter and position coach...as is Lebby. Only thing proven for either of them.
