Clay Travis mentioned something just recently about it. USC Admin is interested.

I don't think they're going to get an NFL coach. As Bruce Feldman reported, my best guess is Mike Riley from OSU.

Carter, I don't think you can say that with certainty. I believe it is not a likely scenario, but if the pay is close, I bet Jeff might think about it.

Maybe 2 months ago.

Adams has endorsed him for the future of his contract. Not as much uncertainty as there once was.

Not at all suggesting that it's the case in Nashville, because I do think Fisher is safe, but an owner endorsement is often a bad thing for a coach.

I can't see the longest tenured coach in the NFL leaving for a college that may or may not get hammered by the NCAA in the next month or two.

Fisher isn't going to college, and there are several reasons for it. He's one of the highest paid coaches in the NFL, and currently one of the most winningest, so if he were to leave the Titans, he would likely move on to another NFL gig. He's never coaches in college before - not even as an assistant. He went straight from a DB for the Chicago Bears to helping Buddy Ryans as a player assistant - been as assistant, coordinator, or head coach in the NFL ever since. He's never had to do the recruiting thing, or build/maintain a collegiate program.

I just don't see this happening. It'd be a pipe dream for USC fans.

Jeff Fisher is a good NFL coach but in my opinion would be a terrible college coach. Not all NFL coaches can be successful in the NCAA nor can all college coaches be successful in the pros.

Del Rio is a lot more likely than Fisher, IMO.

Flipped on some local sports talk, OSU and UofO fans alike coming out of the woodwork saying that Riley is in Corvallis to stay. Riley has been quoted as saying OSU is his "forever job", and he did turn down Alabama. I can still see him going... But if SC gets hammered by the 'AA, I doubt Garrett gets his no. 1 candidate, or no. 2 or even 3.

Not happening. Only being mentioned since he went to USC

but there's no way they'd be offering enough to...well most likely to even compare with an nfl salary
