Jayson Swain is biggest NEGA VOL !!!!

After listening to Swain all the way back to his Swain and Ainge radio show I have recently quit. And the reason why is Bc I picked up on how negative and anti Butch he is. When we land a big recruit he says or tweets "let's see if we can win games". When we won games last year he said " let's see if we can win another" . He claims to be non biased. But he is truely negative about football program.

Now, ... are there problems in the program that need to be addressed? Of course. If you look deep enough every program has them. What every one has to admit about butch is that he puts the team first and gives it his all. After last season he cleaned house and brought in better coaches where needed. He's recruiting his tail off. He struck out last year on Tee Higgins and Amari Rodgers but that has more to do with his support staff he changed than him as a HC.

Him bringing in Trey Smith was huge for Rocky Top. Games are won and lost in the trenches. Butch is getting passing grade in my book. Swain needs to change his attitude about life. He is overweight, negative, always sleepy on radio, half the time he is late to get to the show. Come on man! Step it up and talk about ways to improve and what YOU can do to help your alma mater

I've got no problem if that's how he feels, but if his comments are just to get ratings then I'm glad I've never heard his show.

Wtf did he ever do, pretty overrated as a reciever, and his opinion is none of my business. Hes a star in his eyes only

It's not being a negavol, it's being a realist. One player doesn't change a program.

I've never got the impression of Swain being a Negavol. To me he just tells it how it is. Yeah it's great to get big time recruits. But so far we haven't won a championship with any of these big time recruits. At the end of the day, you have to win. That's just a fact. Butch is in year 5. 8-4 isn't acceptable anymore.

Every program but saban, Sweeney the last two years, Meyer have these problems. Who cares, I stopped listening to all sports talk bc what do any of them have to say that matters. It doesn't matter until you start playing games.

When the fans start in on all the problems we have had over the past 10 years, they are called NegaVols on this site. Hard to look at positives all the time when you have become a mediocre program at best. I prefer the realist that tells it like it is.

The thing about the negas like Swain is rarely do you hear a positive. It becomes an agenda instead of a true show about what is reality. Most who are called sunshine pumpers do point out positives BUT point out some of the issues such as poor coaching decisions. Not going for two at Florida is just one of them.

I want the Vols to win it all. CBJ is the head coach. That would mean he wins it all. Swain would have a problem with that. Anyone else who would feel the same needs to realize how stupid they really are.

Seriously? He would be the best receiver on our current roster if he played now. You don't like his opinions on Butch so you question his ability when he played here. How dumb and immature.

Swain is not a Negavol...he is a reflection of his listener's..when people calling in are excited and gung ho, so is he.

When callers are down and looking for someone to blame..he goes right along with it.

In that four years, only four schools have won the MNC. Does that mean that 124 coaches and programs suck, and are complete failures?

In the past four years, two teams have won the SECC. Does that mean that every other school is a failure and every other coach sucks?

I'm not saying that 8-4 will be acceptable, but I am saying that there is room for celebration somewhere between 8-4 and CFB Playoff champions. I think constant sunshine pumping is unrealistic, but constant gloom, doom, and groaning is just as unrealistic.

Periods of rain and shine are natural, and what keep the crops growing.

I'd take Jennings over Swain any day, but I do agree that Swain was a reliable receiver.
