Yeah, like two guys who don't love the Vols as much as many fans. Would you coach Tennessee even if the HC was someone you didn't get a long with?
Hell yes you would. So would I. The enormous paycheck would help, too.
Luckily, CBJ seems to be a quality man with high standards for his coaches, team, and family. CJG has had 8 jobs in 13 years. Maybe the guy who actually left is the one to blame.
this makes no sense at all why the hell would he do this. Not only will a lot of UT fans despise him, at least for a little, did he really have to leave after Butch went out of his way to keep him on this staff. PUNK move IMO
Yeah, the fans, and Me on Volnation, were lobbying to keep Jay after Dooley was canned. I think Hart had put that in the deal. NOW THIS? Dangit, WTH is going on?
OK-------Lets hear the "rest of the story". Something in Denmark-------stinks.
It's pretty important.
The VQ guys have said that we've been getting recruited against for having a lack of color on staff.
I think it's been pretty well spelled out. He probably didn't like the income disparity with Butch's buddies and didn't feel comfortable being the holdover. I don't blame the man for either and be happy he stayed through the recruiting season.
Bama and Ohio State have 2 coaches out of a staff of about 12 who are black.
It hasn't hurt Meyer or Saban in the slightest. While I don't dismiss that it carries some significance, kids only care about who can get me to the league and who can do it the fastest.

Yeah, that could be the problem. Ha!
We have a black president and you see how that has worked out. Some people voted for him just because he is black. Jimmy Carter is white and he is right there with Obama. It clearly is not about the color, but the ability. There are plenty of blacks capable of being great presidents, just as there are plenty of whites. We just need to elect the best, no matter the color. And we should hire coaches for their ability; not their color.
I am sick of hearing the race thing. I don't hear UT fans supporting players because they are one color or another. If they are wearing Orange, then they are one of us. All the trumped up division has gotten very old.
I was very excited to get Jay Graham back to UT, as I would have been to get Tee back, but they had rather be somewhere else.
The only color I care about is ORANGE! Let's get people in here who bleed orange instead of green.
