Jaworski Draft comments on Dobbs

I see people blaming the WRs for Dobbs short-to-mid throws. To me that doesn't make a lick of sense. I can't even count how many times I saw Dobbs overthrow a guy who was less than 30 feet away from him or throw a screen at a guy's feet. Just goes to show the desperation of NFL GMs if he's being evaluated as 1st or 2nd round talent. I feel like in any other draft with a normal QB group Dobbs would be 5-7th round lock.

And I can't even count how many perfectly thrown balls the WRs dropped. :hi:

The ONLY game (actually a half) where we dropped a lot of balls last year, not all throws that were perfectly thrown btw, was the 1st half vs Florida.

Can you list all the drops, who dropped them, which games where our guys dropped all those perfect passes?

And I cant even count the number of times the WRs failed to get separation, run proper routes, get open and dropped passes. Its easy to blame Dobbs for the majority of it, but its just not accurate.

Lame duck argument KB. Throughout Dobbs starting career there have been many dropped passes. Even more situations where our WRs could not get separations, even from scrub teams like North Texas and App State.

I am not saying Dobbs hasnt thrown his share of bad passes, he has, but it takes good QB AND WR play.

I thought I already said I can't count them :)

No it isn't. It's a direct response to the guy who implied our WRs constantly dropped perfectly thrown footballs, which isn't true. I then asked for him to catalogue them for me, which won't happen btw.

My post was in no way to disparage Dobbs, only to argue in defense of our receivers. Trust me, I was/am no fan of Azzani and I recall them being poorly coached, especially with regards to getting separation/open. But that wasn't the subject of the post....it was about all those mythical dropped passes which, outside of the first half vs Florida, simply didn't happen in any real numbers or frequency.
