All he is asking for is a long term deal and if the 49ers don’t have him in their long term plans then he wants to play for a team that will make that commitment. It’s not like he is 1 year into a multi-year contract threatening to holdout for more money. This is the same league that can franchise tag players to prevent them from going to free agency, cut players without notice to save on the cap, routinely ask players to restructure contracts to circumvent the cap.
