I know JJ didn't have many receptions in this dominating win over KY but I think you can see why we were able to be so successful when you look at his body of play. This one play stood out to me. Watch him as he takes on and blocks 3, yes, thats THREE KY defenders, enabling Murphy to get around them and get some long yardage on the run. Gotta say that I am darn glad that Pruitt gave him another chance to get on and contribute to the team this year. As Pruitt keeps pointing out, it is the little things that makes the difference. If one or a couple of players are not performing, it drags down even great plays by others but when everyone is dialed in, it gives opportunities for big plays to happen.

I noticed that the first time I watched it. Rewound it a few times to show everyone else I was watching with who should get credit for the play. JJ is a freaking dog. So many WRs only half-ass their blocking assignments, or make it apparent by their body language the ball isn't coming their way, but not him.

I noticed his block watching the game in Neyland. If you keep an eye on him, he's getting after somebody almost every play. Love the fire.

More like he blocked one guy and the other two were focused on pursuing Murphy and ran right into him. If that's the way the play was designed to work, then kudos to the coach who drew it up. Still a good block by Jennings. Great execution all around on that play. I loved the way Murphy galloped and accelerated when he knew he had the angle along the sideline. That was one of the most exhilarating moments in a Tennessee game I've seen in some time.

And to think that there were some on here saying JJ shouldn't get to come back. I was 100% for his return.

I'm a huge JJ fan but he only blocked one guy....

The other two took bad angles lol

Still a great play though

IDK, if you watch it, you can clearly see him steer that UK player towards those other two guys, the guy he was blocking was too close to possibly putting a hand on Murphy for Jennings to block him that way unless he was trying to stop the other two.

You know NFL scouts are salivating over this kid. I'd sign him for his toughness and blocking skills alone.

I hope he is fully 100% and comes back next year. His senior season could be epic. He has really taken to playing within the system though and understands not every ball can come to him, although I’m sure he would welcome that.

Did anyone else notice Jennings getting roughed up right after the TD on the Hail Mary before the half (right side of the screen)?

Yeah, what was up with that? Official was looking at Callaway to see if he had too much fun..lol..so he could throw the celebration flag...missed the blatant personal foul. JJ kept his cool. He probably got some payback on another play. lol!

Not till it was pointed out later. I did notice that if Callaway had not caught it that JJ would have though. They boxed the KY defenders out on the play. You basically had 3 UT players that were there to make the catch.
