It was JJ that dropped a TD.
Idk. I’d like to think a better coach could have gotten more out of Hurd and Kamara and got them both on the field at the same time. Hurd no doubt acted like a baby here but we just had a lack of leadership from top to bottom.
It’s hard to change positions and only play 1 year at said position and then be successful in the NFL. He’s a great talent but would have been better suited to play RB even if it was for 5-8 years verses 10+ years. Look at Derek Henry in the NFL. They both was similar in size when they both was in college. Not saying he was as good but as far as size wise they bout the same. From the start (at Tennessee) I thought he should be playing tight end. I think he got tired of dragging three or five guys with him.
I understand you, man. If he had had equally talented protection (and coaching), it might have turned out tbat way. I don't think Hurd was an example of a ckach putting him"in the best position to succeed", or, however they put it.It’s hard to change positions and only play 1 year at said position and then be successful in the NFL.
