The Atlanta area is the happening place for young, wealthy African-Americans to take up residence.

1) The house was bought at a foreclosure/seizure auction. That means Jason probably got it at a good price.
2) Given the discounted price, any bank would lend against it in this situation. Allen will have his NFL money. It's not a matter of if, but when.

I went to college in Marietta and my wife is from there. The only reason I can think of would be the clubs: especially the strip clubs.

:focus: IMO Atlanta is slightly more dynamic than that; especially for an upwardly mobile young black man.

Grew up around Atlanta, and still live and work in the region. It's the place in the South. Really good for real estate buys since it is the mortgage fraud capital of the U.S.

All of my inlaws just love the 2 to 3 hour commutes back and forth everyday.

Atlanta went from sleepy south to world city overnight. It is a premier city, expecially for ethnic crowds. The city has yet to catch up on the road infrastructure and may not ever. I try to stay clear during traffic congestion.

My sister inlaw will sit at work for an extra hour or two because she knows she's just going to sit there. I really enjoyed goning to school in Marietta for those three and a half years, but now we're spoiled on not sitting in traffic.

Doesnt he get money from his agent?

I'm sure his agent has him set up with a line of credit to take care of him until that first paycheck.

The clubs in S. FLA might be better, but in Marietta he'll be only 2hrs. and 45min.'s from some home cookin.

Agents love to throw around money (in a few cases, up to a million bucks) to woo clients...of course, as soon as the contract is signed, they simply deduct it from the signing bonus and go on their way.
