No idea why this post moved to the middle of the page...

We had a temporary issue with server timestamps. When we corrected the time, some posts appeared out of order. I believe everything should now be back to normal.

Alex Kennedy from Basketball Insiders.

"Jarnell Stokes is dominating right now. He was such a steal for Memphis in the early second round. I love his game."

a lock to make the team, i think he'll see 8-10 minutes off the bench this year primarily at the 4 while they develop his speed and mid range game

Jarnell Stokes, Memphis Grizzlies

There is perhaps no better fit in terms of player and team ethos than Stokes and the Memphis Grizzlies. He simply outworks the competition, refusing to relent an inch of space. You underestimate him because of his height, right up until the point where he either swats your shot or dunks on you with his condor-like 7-2 wingspan. Sunday, Stokes posted a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds, bullying the block on both ends. He even showed flashes of a developing jumper, hitting a nice turnaround from just a few feet beyond the block. Right now, Stokes relies too much on his strength and, for lack of a better word, grit. He'll bully teams down low, but more than a few times, he has been caught without a plan.

He better get a outside shot and work on that phone book vertical....otherwise he is gonna be working 9 to 5 like the rest of us.

If I were his coach, I wouldn't care much about the outside shot because with his rebounding ability I'd want him as close to the basket as possible. He should work on a baseline shot like Haslem, but other than that he should only stray from the paint to set high screens.

If Kris Humphries can stay in the league, so can Jarnell Stokes. One thing I've been forgetting in thinking about his NBA potential is his FT shooting, which is up around 70% now. If he's smart drawing fouls that could help him be an efficient scorer, if not a prolific one (which I don't think he will be).

Hump is a pretty good player. He's an athletic big body, and rebounds like a champ. Not the most polished game, but he's good enough to get significant minutes on every roster in the NBA, IMO.
