I like how this got brushed aside like it was nothing. Maybe somebody owes Imus an apology.

Jamie Foxx called Miley Cyrus a "little white bi**h" for being mildly upset about not getting to meet the British band at the Grammy Awards and advised her to "make a sex tape and grow up. Also said she should "Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan and start seeing a lesbian and get some crack in your pipe. Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat"

He did make an apology later saying he "went a little too far", but geeze. Why does he get a free pass? That's a lot worse than what Imus said IMO.

Jamie Foxx needs to shut his mouth. While he is at it, he should stick to what he does halfway decent...that is act. His music sucks

Unreal. I thought Foxx was above acting like an idiot, guess not. And why is a grown man telling a young girl under the age of 18 to make a sex tape!

Because when a black person says this about a white person it's not racist, when a white person says it about a black person it is racist.

Correct but she is a sixteen year old girl, she is a spoiled little brat. Foxx is a grown man, he should be ashamed of himself, saying he went a little too far is a huge understatement.

Foxx is an idiot. I use to like his stuff, but what he stands for, and crap like this is enough to make me nvr watch another one of his movies.

Foxx won the Oscar for Ray and Joaquin wasn't even nominated for Walk The Line. Thats the messed up thing we should be talking about.

Touche. Although I am somewhat defending Miley, I cannot stand her. She is too big for her own britches. With that being said, I am not wishing STD's or drug addictions upon her.

He is a comedian, and he was making a joke. No matter how distasteful it may appear it should be taken with a grain of salt. I don't think he meant a word of it, honestly.

I agree in theory. Imus shouldn't have lost his job either, but if he was on satellite radio like Foxx he wouldn't have. The context of the shows is totally different.

I agree, however what is noteworthy here is the difference in the public reaction to both of these incidents.

What is different is that Imus made his comment over public airwaves. Foxx made his comments on a private subscription channel.

Miley is white...why would Sharpton care?

Whinning about this is the equivalent of what Sharpton did. It is a complete non issue.

I agree. What I am pointing out is that hordes of white people are not asking for his job, and the media, for the most part do not care to pick up this story, which is exactly as it should be. Just quietly pointing out the bias between the two situations, even though there is a subtle difference between public and private airwaves.

I don't think you really care one way or another. The difference between public and private airways is much less subtle than people are recognizing. It is the difference between Skinemax and ABC. You can express many more opinions in many more ways in the private sector. That is simply the precedent.

Again I disagreed with how Imus was handled, but his "knappy headed" remark could easily be construed as an attack on their color. These really are totally different circumstances. I just don't see how they are comparable...but that is just me.

Take away the public vs private issue from the debate for a minute.Is "knappy headed" more of an attack on color than "white b----"?
