Take away the public vs private issue from the debate for a minute. Is "knappy headed" more of an attack on color than "white b----"?

Actually...yes. White B...implies a position of power while the other has the potential to imply more negative connotations. Just saying...there is a sociological difference.

Really? So if I said black b----, I would be implying a position of power to this person? Not trying to be sarcastic but I must be missing something here.

I remember when Radiohead denied her request to meet them and she lashed out, saying she "will end them"

Calling some one a b just means they are a snob (or a host of other things). Calling them knappy headed could...again...could be easily construed as taking a position of power over them. You simply have to apply some sort of historical context to the situation whether you like it or not.

EVERYONE just needs to chill here and quit getting so offended. I back up both of the guys on this debate.
Imus first mentioned that the Tennessee players were cute. The "cute" players he was referring to were black. He then commented on the nappy headed looking Rutgers players. Let's be honest, he was on to something there. That isn't necessarily racist. It's just a solid observation of how ugly those chicks were. If he was racist, he wouldn't have mentioned the cute Tennessee girls.
Also, Jamie Foxx is on to something about Miley Cyrus too. No need to call a little girl a bitch really, but she is defiinitely super spoiled and extremely annoying. My favorite response was that from Radiohead. Her sense of entitlement is absolutely unbelievable. She's "ruin" Radiohead huh?? I'm pretty sure their album OK Computer has sold more copies than any other album in the past ten years. I think they'll be fine without little Miss Hannah Montana.

The main point here is, if the skin colors were reversed and say Howard Stern or Jay Mohr said that Rihanna was a black b**** and needed to make a sex tape, he would be ripped by every media outlet there is. Jesse and Al would be on CNN every day until they felt they each had a pound of flesh as retribution. Foxx's apology was lame and he should be held up to the same standards as ANY white entertainer would be. If minorities want things to be equal, then they should accept equal treatment for this kind of crap too.

Not to mention the fact that it's about ∞ better than anything she's ever or will ever put out.

I think the problem is not that Jamie Foxx called her a b*tch, but the fact that he had to iterate that she was a white b*tch. There was no need for that unless he was exemplifying an ignorant and skewed view of an entire race... which would deem him racist by any definition I've seen.
