When will people stop with the Fulmer bashing? It's really quite old now. He needed to go and he was released, so let's stop acting like he's the devil incarnate. He did alot for UT over the years and he loved this school, so I think it's completely unnecessary to continue to demonize him.

Did he need to go? Yes.

Does he still deserve our respect? Yes.

I hope he goes somewhere decent and is successful. I don't feel the need to wish ill-will upon him.

:good!:

Wherever he goes, they will be lucky to get him. Guys he is and always will be a class act. He is smart enought to learn from what has happened. I know I am going to be slammed for my comments but I don't care. I am and always will be his biggest fan. Thank you Coach for all the years you gave to the Orange and White. Up or down you bled Orange.
So you enjoy losing. Mother Teresa was a class act too, but I sure as hell don't want her coaching my football team. Bottom line, he became complacent and lazy and it set the UT program back several years. I never thought that I would be happy with a 7 or 8 win year, but I will be this year. Thanks Phil.

I'd enjoy watching Fulmer's Kentucky streak continue if he went to Louisville.
I'd enjoy watching him have to shake the hand of the first person he scapegoated to shield himself from his own incompetence after Kentucky pounds the Hell out of Louisville.

I think he would be a great fit at Virginia. Al Groh was always able to get good recruiting classes there, but never really knew what to do with them. The western part of Virginia is pretty rich in talent, which is a luxury Phil hasn't had. I think he could do well with being able to actually recruit in state and UVA is a college that will give him time to build up the talent. It's true he was not able to keep up with the SEC as time passed, but I think he would be a great coach in one of the weaker conferences.......and yes.......I consider the ACC to be a weaker conference than the SEC.

Western Virginia? You mean Southeast Virginia, right?

are you ever going to get over Fulmer
I've been over his incompetent act since '02. This is just me enjoying kicking him and his his clown supporters while they're down. Face it, those of us who called for him to be fired long ago were right. Sheep like you that stayed on board The Titanic were proven clueless. That's life. We won, you lost.

I'd be really surprised if a high level program hired him and even more surprised if he had great success at said program.

Thanks for stopping by, Vicki.

Well if he goes to Louisville he shouldn't have any problems with Kentucky. But Kentucky doesn't produce any good talent in the state, it's worse than Tennessee. Fulmer must recruit good and he is in a conference where he can win consistently easier. Where ever Fulmer goes, do you guys see him trying to lure Chavis from LSU. I'm interested in seeing how LSU's defense is this year and how Chavis and Miles get along. Where ever Fulmer goes, it's best for him to not hire Dave Clawson.

It's interesting that you come to the conclusion that there were winners and losers within the ranks message board fans.

No fan lost anything as a result of Fulmer being fired and Kiffin being hired

We all still have a football program to get behind, cheer and discuss

If you were actually in favor of Fulmer keeping his job after last season, or after '05 for that mattter, you're an idiot.
