:rock:There was a report that Hurd had a confrontation with a UT coach on the sideline..."mouthed off" and was benched for the rest of the game. It was reported as an undetermined injury. Anyone else have anything on this confrontation?

The kid said something he shouldn't and got called on it. It's not a big deal.

Let's see. Coach says lower extremity injury and family and VFL34 says bell rung. Helmet not taken and he's practicing today...
Kid got in trouble and it's no big deal. He isn't the 1st and won't be the last. Jalen is smart and this will have no affect on his play in the future.

Jalen Hurd has demonstrated nothing but heart, drive and respect for the game he loves in addition to his love for this team during his tenure here. Whatever the reason for his not playing in the final quarter is known by very few people and I would wager none on VN that are posting in this thread. All anyone here can do is speculate and generally this leads to fabrication because the truth is not known. I say give Jalen the benefit of the doubt he will be back and stronger than ever, mark my words.

I don't disagree with you at all about JH heart and love for his team. Doesn't change anything and that doesn't make him a bad kid. It happens on a lot of teams more than people realize. It's no big deal. He's fine.

By continuing to push the angle that Hurd was being punished with absolutely NO proof. That's a form of character assassination. He doesn't deserve it unless you have some way of KNOWING.

That's a good point Vol74. If our opponents see Jalen with his helmet on they still have to worry. I saw he wasn't feeling good after he scored. Hope the best and can't wait to see #1 romp on A&M! GBO!!
