I just wish Butch woulda left his ass in Knoxville before leaving for Columbia, SC. Or, as soon as he pulled himself out of the SC game and quit on his teammates, Butch shoulda sent him straight to the locker room.

What a punk ass move. You could just see the body language on the sideline and with the whole team that game.

Go to bed, you're drunk. Not one player cost UT Atlanta.

I don't know if I'd go as far as saying he cost them ATL. I could be wrong. But I agree with everything else you said.

Please stop, the whole team and coaching staff cost them Atlanta. In three years of recruiting there should be enough depth at RB to account for such a situation.

Should read cost us another beat down by Bama.

One thing cost us ATL: turnovers.. x7 against A&M and x3 against SCe (the 2 INTs were huge in that game and Dobbs was atrocious).

You have a poorly coached football team that reared its ugly head against SC. That's why you re not going to Atl.

If it makes you feel better to drop this on anything other than that, go ahead. You can be wrong.

OP, gtfo. Hurd didn't cost us anything. In fact he helped us through the year despite miserable coaching and play calling.

The fact the our coaches couldn't adjust and beat a HS Senior QB is all you need to know. Time for you to stop the Hurd obsession.

Must be the smoke getting to his head.

Thinking that the coaching staff is 100% to blame is completely wrong. Up until the USCe game, we had won every game we were supposed to and lost all the games we were supposed to. This USCe game is the first time since Butch has been at UT that he lost a game he was favored to win.

Your post actually demonstrates that it was Lyle who cost UT Atlanta.

Lyle Shoulda....

What cost this team a trip to Atlanta and who knows what else is something that no one may ever know.

That team took the field each and every Saturday and did not come and play with the kind of enthusiasm that you are supposed to take into a football game.

I can not understand why they half-stepped it for much of the season coming out of the gate. There was no reason for it and I have no clue why it occurred.

While folks point to the injuries, sleep walking started with game 1 and was consistent the whole season

Yea let's blame one man for the coaches not doing their jobs. What makes it worse is it came off a bye week.

Unacceptable.

In hindsight they probably should have let him go last season and featured Kamara this season

I tend to agree with you. AK was out with an injury, so we had game planned all week with JK and Hurd as our RBs. Hurd quitting on the team forced a freshman into the #2 spot, but he did not get the reps all week to be prepared for that opportunity because Hurd had taken them. The fumble caused by Filles Aime can be argued as the difference in that game. I believe the whole team plays better that whole game if Hurd had been kicked off the team after UGA, but that's opinion. It's fact that Filles-Aime (so) would have had reps in practice to be better prepared for the fumble play had Hurd not been there to steal the reps in practice.

This is idiotic. The head coach cost this team Atlanta.

You do realize how many points this offense has scored since he quit. Right?
