Well, we agree that the sentiment is not genuine. The outpouring of "love" is just disproportionate to a freshman who averaged less than 10 minutes a game, only really had an impact in the Ky game and just witnessed her team implode.

I am sure her agent is aware of the "locker room cancer" narrative that being floated by the UTAD PR people and wants to make sure to dispel them at every communication point,.

Same. I actually felt a twinge of some sort in my heart when I read the news.

While I'm sad that my favorite goofy little energizer bunny is leaving, a big part of me is relieved for her to not have to carry the heavy burdens. I'm not even going to mention them by name anymore, but whoever is on next year's team is definitely going to need all the prayers and support Lady Vol nation can muster.

In a season in which some fans' pain and disappointment may make them give up and stop supporting, my hope is that those fans will come to realize early on that of all the years the Lady Vol players needed our full support, next season far exceeds any before it as us needing to be there to support them. They will be our Tennessee Lady Vols, and there will be NO BIGGER MOMENT in the history of the program's fanship to show what WE are made of as these young women take up the challenge to be the best they can possibly be.

Us LV fans will have a chance to shine next season. I mean, what could be a better look than for us to do the opposite of what so many are expecting? What if the ragtag group of Lady Vols is given the Royal Treatment by fans instead of not showing up to punish Danny and Kim?

None of this will be the fault of any woman on the team next season, so I hope we can all find a way to get to the arena as often as possible next season, no matter who is on the team or staff. I know I'm already saving as much money as I can to start back up next season. I hope others will feel the same way I do about it.

Same, so to me me really only loss 1 player, all the others I wanted gone anyway. Well I did want Hurst, but it’s not like she’s an impact player.

Humpty Dumpty has completely fallen off the wall and will have a hard time being put back together again. Now all you can hope for is CKC being able to find 13 or 14 players who can play this high-octane all-out harassing defense complete with her 3-point shooting at a 40% clip. Well, we will see if CKC can find her dream team in the portal or the dreaded campus tryouts. We are headed into uncharted waters where many teams have gone before and are rarely heard from again. We are headed up Crap Creek without a paddle. OB1 way be our only hope.

Narrative for the last month
Is the players quit on the coach and team. People were saying hogwash this and that. End of the season and guess what ALL the players have quit on the team and coach. Did it on the court in February and in the portal in March.

I sure don't. It is in such a low place that I never dreamed it would be. No returning players? What once was the greatest womens program in college basketball is now vacant? DAMN! What are they gonna do, have open tryouts?

Don’t worry, according to the resident expert “Shooter”, the LVBB elite coaching staff is currently in a transfer portal blitz that will provide elite talent for years to come, mainly because we are 8X national champs and a historical program, bar none.

On side note, Shooter also said that no team could touch the hitting of LV softball this year. We aren’t even in top 15 or 20 for home runs and struggling offensively.
And before Shooter makes some drug induced crazy claim it’s because those other teams aren’t playing anyone, let’s address the words from Shooter about college athletes are college athletes despite the rankings and level they play on and all are talented.

Everyone has jumped ship both players and coaches. Yikes! There is no program. To watch what Pat built be destroyed is sickening. There is no justification. When you make a mistake don’t double down to protect your ego. Baseball and now the Lady Vols due to ego. Record revenue but chump spending will not be sustainable.

What Pat built died with Pat.

I’m a Lady Vol fan because of Pat but people have to let that go. Pat WAS Lady Vol Basketball. That died with her. Holly didn’t uphold that legacy, Kellie didn’t either, Kim is just another in a long line of coaches who will NEVER be Pat Summitt.
