I could get you a list, but put 5-6 Hannah Hidalgo in the SEC and she wins player of the year. The SEC has had many highy successful 5-4/5-6 guards who have been very successful going back farther than Shannon Bobbitt and we all know what she was capable of.
How tall was the point for the 2 Ms St teams to go to final 4? She wasn't very tall

There’s really nothing to questioning the size of the Pauldo twins.
The other three signees are 6’2 Hurst, 6’2 Prawl, and 6’0 Civil.
All three in excellent shape and sturdy. Recently we’ve seen freshman like Juju Watkins, Joyce Edwards, and Kennedy Smith enter college with the size to play on this level right away that’s what you’re going to see in Civil, Hurst, and Prawl.
They aren’t medium size. They are college ready.
As for the Pauldo twins, I know they thrive off of being seen as too small to compete on the biggest stage. Today is another example of their huge success in the mist of everyday doubt.
Mya and Mia are leading the #11 ranked team in the nation.
These two 5’6 guards with a team full of underclassmen and no other Top 100 prospect(s) on the MC roster.
It comes a time when you have to give credit where it’s due. These kids are special.

like I said,,,if you're good enough you're tall enough

Right. They’re plenty good of enough. Since sophomores at Morris Catholic they have defeated state and national perennial powers featuring multiple current SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 freshmen and sophomores.
This while standing 5’6 being the only Top 100 recruits at MC in those years.
Currently, MC is undefeated and ranked as the #11 team in the nation.
GBO!

All I know is that in the past two decades there have been many small point guards who have scorched Tennessee during the era of us having, most of the time, a remarkable height/length advantage.

I've mentioned numerous times here how LSU's tiny Temeka Johnson absolutely had our number, somehow hanging 20-plus on us at least a couple of times. I remember this well because it was physically sickening to me at that point in my life.

Small, quick, handsy guards always make me nervous. 🥴

Here's the thing though. Almost every wee pg mentioned in this thread had dominate bigs down low. That's the poiint of concern expressed by some. Not that the guards are small in itself, but that the whole team as currently formed for next year lacks significant height. I'm sure that will be addressed in the portal.

Or not. I've said before, it going to be interesting to see if the current staff does stand completely on a positionless, sizeless system. We'll see.

I don’t think height is the issue we make it out to be. It’s being able to play, flat out.

It’s certainly not the issue a certain group of fans make it out to be.
It’s just their way of having something to critique while going against CKC system on the message board and social media platforms.
It’s clear as day in two pivotal SEC games that came down to the wire against South Carolina and LSU those teams played smaller than Tennessee.
Even in the Texas game that was decided by the play of Booker late in the game and the setback to Cooper at the start of the game. The forward for Texas out hustled our posts but it wasn’t really about height or size.
Against LSU and SC, their rotation included smaller guards and nearly the same size post players that rotated IN games against Tennessee.
People are using teams having more size as an example based on players on those teams bench that aren’t even seeing action in games.
That makes no sense at all.
I envision that CKC will add size via the portal to go with the elite skill on the roster in 2025-2026, and perhaps even if those players don’t play a lot of minutes we won’t have to hear this notion thrown out following every single game.

Temeka Johnson? Dana Evans? Destinee Henderson(5’7), Ariel Massengale? Georgia Amoore? I don’t think height is the issue we make it out to be. It’s being able to play, flat out.
Look no further than Hannah Hildago and Mia has done equal or more in high school. I know you have to be able to prove it at this level as Hildago has. I think when Mia gets her chance she is going to be another Hildago based on the way she has played in high school and her 250 threes will be close if not exceed 300 by the end of this season.

I don't think you were watching the same games I saw this year, Their size was a major cause of them winning those games.

You don’t have to quote me. I quoted a poster that said as myself and others believe height/size isn’t an issue like a few constantly claim it to be.
If you believe it is that’s your opinion.

I think a lot of fans are uninformed on how good THE TWINS are. The players Tennessee have struggled guarding this year got clamped by Mya Pauldo in highschool! Malaysia Fulwiley and Mikayla Blakes!

They aren’t uniformed.
They are just deflecting for now from the elite recruiting that many said couldn’t be done under a 1st year coach w/o SEC experience.
The Pauldo twins series w/Overtime which has millions of views on YouTube highlighted all those games versus top recruits.

Another thing @VolBlocker, I would go out on a limb and say Mya Pauldo is the best defensive guard in high school.
I think she can win SEC DPOY at Tennessee during her career at 5’6!

The Pauldo twins are athletes. Their games are so similar to Hildago they can guard and go off on offense. Not going to be much of a learning curb for them they have played against the best high school players and outplayed them. Was thinking earlier that we needed some of the current players back and was hoping for NCAA adding that extra year. Not wanting that to happen anymore. This class coming in can play right away and the style we play is perfect for all of them. Mia will be the point guard of next years team from day one.

Good point on the Pauldo twins Volfan2012.
I think with the Mia and Mya they’re so good it doesn’t matter if they start or come off the bench as freshmen they will compete every single second on the court.
Then there’s Jaida Civil who plays a similar style of basketball as Talaysia Cooper on both ends of the floor. Deniya Prawl is a 6’2 wing that is versatile. I watched DP last game on ESPN2 a nationally ranked showdown of HS Top 10 teams. Her team had her running the point and she looked unstoppable.
CKC, Lazo, and Tubner recruiting is a cheat code.
