Jack Jones/Chance Hall Absent - Shows OL Weakness

The o-line was putrid

Everybody knew we were running it last year and we jammed it down their throats anyway.

Hurd didn't look great tonight either

When Dobbs was included in the running..... he wasn't tonight. Kamara was absent too. Too vanilla for a decent team and the players played tight. This is not a team good at playing conservative. It was true last year and it remains true now.

Love Doug, but my guess is he'll go in full defense of Butch and the team mode and will refuse to be critical of Tennessee's effort. He'll go on about how good a team Appy State is. In short, rather than give an honest, realistic assessment, he'll circle the wagons.

I disagree. He'll call it as it should.

They are a top 40 team but the problem is we cant throw the ball down field is it the play calling or is it the QB i know Dobbs is a special kid but he a below average QB when it comes to the passing game if he cant beat you with his legs he cant beat you.I have said it for 2 years he will light up a subpar D but he can't throw the ball down field well enough to beat a really good defense and APP. ST has a pretty good D and you seen what happen.

No two-back sets, no Dobbs under center, get the ball 5yards off the line of scrimmage and half the time have to fight to get back. Not a reassuring night from Debo.

Which is puzzling considering they really haven't done anything deserving of that kind of attitude. Oh you beat Northwestern in a bowl? Yawn

It doesn't matter what they do. Nothing will ever please you.

Alright, let's grant that. The loss of Kerbyson made us that much worse?

Dobbs cant throw the ball downfield if you don't game plan him for 15 times running the ball you are playing in to the other DC hand, i like him but he just can't throw the ball, why do you think we run the ball 9 out of 10 times on first down the coaching staff know he cant beat the other team with his arm, its time we get another QB ready because if we get down to a elite defense we will not have a chance there is one thing about Dobbs when he starts the game cold he stay's cold not saying put him on the bench but if he is cold bring in another QB or we will be 8 and 4 again.

After tonight's game how can you determine that Dobbs can't throw downfield. Did I sleep during all the attempts downfield?

He only connected with like 5 down field passes but if he ever learns to lead his receivers he could be a good passer

How many down field passes did he throw?

Enough to know he's below average throwing downfield. Threw one in the endzone that was under thrown to Malone. Had Malone wide open and sailed it over his head. The one we did hit, it was a under thrown and Malone had to make a great individual effort.

I like everything about Dobbs, except his ability to hit anything past 15 yards downfield.

Actually the one to Malone in the endzone was an intentional back shoulder throw because of the DB position.

OL was atrocious tonight. Embarrassing. Horrible. Disgusting.

If they played even 5% better this is a different game.

Hurd looked soft, too. Have to wonder if not having contact all fall contributed.
