If Jabar Gaffney's TD catch in 2000 was good enough to decide a football game in Neyland Stadium....then Cody Blanc had a reception yesterday! There I said it....had to get it off my chest.

Great victory! Go Vols!

Ehhh we won yesterday, doesn't matter. At least the Pig fumble debate was about a call that directly impacted the outcome of the game.

Maybe I am just plain dumb or something but this went over my head!

Edit! I am dumb. I get it now

I really thought it was a catch by Blanc. But as for Gaffney there wasn't any instant replay back then

The gaffney DROP was one of the worst calls in football history! They also blew a call on a TD that Travis Henry scored, but they called him short. Two bad calls=14 pt swing. If I recall correctly, the margin of victory was less than 14 pts.

Interesting side note:
The following week the same officiating crew blew several key calls in the BAMA/Vandy game. May very well have cost Vandy a huge upset. I read somewhere that the crew was benched the following week by the NCAA or sec after having questionable calls reviewed.
