. can not fault the coaches at all for not putting him on the field. talk about in over your head. our qb play this year has been atrocious and if we cant throw for more than 22 yards next week... watch out. I am completely for giving the ball to boyd the day he signs with us. i saw the clips from the jv game and he looked ok but he is absolutely not ready at this point. i do not think any of our current qbs can win at this level but stephens is the most capable of the 3. it is amazing that we dont have 1 capable qb.

Oddly enough, Cincinnati has had to play with 4 QB's this year and haven't seemed to miss a beat.

Hmmmmm

I don't want to see anymore of Coleman, but he's not a "bum." Probably a nice kid, but the Chattanooga press has done him no favors by hyping him up so much as the latest in a long line of the "next Peyton Manning."

Dr. Basketball, Quake, and Mark Weidmer have built this kid up so much, and so have the Chattanooga folks.

Stephens gives us our only shot at any kind of passing game. But, maybe we should just run every play.

Did the staff help him by playing 3 other qb's?

I don't think BJ got a totally fair shot. He had a huge mistake on the INT obviously and didn't manage the play clock very well (would come with experience). But, they ran the ball so much and didn't let him throw down field really at all.. they gave him two roll outs - both almost led to picks running the same play (1 did of course). When they did give him a chance the O-line sucked it up and didn't pick up the blitzes.

He's no worse than Crompton.

That is a classic left-handed compliment.

Its obvious right now that player development (particularly at QB) was lacking, no matter who we put in.

That's funny. I'm thinking about the movie Kingpin when so much bad stuff happened to Roy Munson that "Munsoned" became a word for when something bad happened. It looks like the new word for suck, screw-up or blow will be Crompton.

"Man, did anyone see Phil Mickelson Crompton the 18th hole and lose today?"

One of my favorite words this season has been "incrompetent."

No, they hurt the team by playing him instead of someone else. Even the players have commented that Crompton makes his reads slower than the other two. We were just in for a painful year no matter how you look at it.

You guys act like a bunch of lil babies. Coleman didn't do that bad of a job. He had some balls dropped and was sacked 2-3 times because of bad blocking. He had one bad throw which unfortunately ended up as pick6. I just don't understand fans these days. You want everything now now now. If offense doesn't pass for 250 yards with 3 td's and runs for 200 yards then they are horrible. Tell me why the hell you have seen enough of BJ? He threw one int. Please tell me? He played smart football. He threw it away when on the rollout to stop the clock at 10 secs when nothing was open. I guess I've seen enough of Brett Farve. He has thrown 13+ int's this year.

An expert on bums are you ? judging from the complete lack of class in your post ,I'd say yes

There's always a reason a guy is a third stringer. As we saw, he didn't go in and set the world on fire like many here suggested he would do.

BJ Coleman = AJ Suggs with a little more speed and a little less arm.
