I look at it this way LG. We can say anything we want about our athletics because we are Tennessee. Tennessee fans aren't fickle, but we fed up with all the speak about getting tough up front, playing better D etc and not seeing results.
Having a fan of another team come in and rub your faces in it pisses us (the collective fanbase) off.
It's like when you were a little kid and your mom pissed you off. You could say anything you wanted, but let somebody else say the same thing about your mom, you were ready to kick somebody's ass. The same thing applies here.
I understand but am kind of creeped out by the analogy.
