Is it even worth going through the trouble of getting American football on satellite if it's gonna be something like Rutgers vs USF in the title game?! It is, but daaaaaaaaamn.

What happened to college football? Notre Dame, Miami, Michigan, FSU and Tennessee all suck?

no, they all suck. these used to be elite programs. their current record in unacceptable in light of that fact.

A lot of people put Auburn into that category until last night. I will say our team sucks when they go 7-5. Until then I remain mostly optimistic but a realist on the subject that we need a "new direction".

would go with ESPN game plan, you can watch it online and they normally have some good games. Trust me, been doing this for a year now :)

Those teams are nowhere near where they used to be or where they should be for that matter. But, outside of Notre Dame, none of those teams suck.

i'm fairly sure auburn has a better record over the last 5 years than the aforementioned teams. they're just not living up to it this year, well maybe last too. but in any case, the programs i mentioned have had problems for somewhat longer than that.

Game plan is a PPV that ESPN has for college football. There are two ways to get it, through digital cable or the internet. They have like 12-15 games a week, most of the time they are the smaller games that don't get picked up by major networks, but they are games non the less.

ESPN - GamePlan

It's not bad, but yeah you stream it online and the quality is decent. Be careful though, it's about 5 mins behind the live broadcasts, so I got called after the Air Force game last year and was told we won...when there was about 2 mins to go in my broadcast.

Check with ESPN before you purchase gameplan. I know some fellow Kentucky fans who are not allowed to see the games in Japan this year due to changes in ESPN policy. Best idea: find a friend in the US to buy a Slingbox so that you can watch it over the internet and port it to your tv. It´s pretty cheap, and you can get all the local channels from Tennessee there.

I keep saying that somebody needs to get a slingbox and share with the nation...
In the meantime, you could probably stream some of the Saturday games via P2P programs like Sopcast and TVU--I know they post some links on Thurs. and Fri. here and there are a few other places you could look for help just by googling "watch team A team B online".

Especially if you're abroad, have no satellite TV and college football gets about ZERO coverage, this is the best option to catch any action.

You should take it up one more notch and paste the picture of her in the uniform standing under the signs. :)

My brother is doing this exact setup and it's ok, but not great. For most stuff, slingbox is fine with the picture. However, on fast moving stuff like sports and football, it's not exactly the best setup. Watchable, but not as good as internet feeds off gameplan would be. He's watching from London and the slingbox is in my parents basement with an HD DVR hooked up to it.

I´m able to watch the CBS game of the week using the TVUPlayer (TVU networks | Welcome), as well as the Lincoln Financial game of the week. UK has Extreme Access, which is streaming of all home games the next day. I have yet to find a decent Sopcast or TVAnts college football channel.

A buddy of mine just bought a Hauppauge video capture card, and is using Windows Media Encoder to send me the video of the UK games that way, over his internet connection. It´s not a bad picture- far from DVD quality, but considering that if you lived outside the US 10 years ago, you had to buy a USA Today to find out how your favorite team was doing....we´ve progressed.

you probably need to cite your source here. I'm not sure there is a footnote button, but this was pretty blatant.
