It's your turn, Phil

It's definitely a concern . . . but you'd think that they would improve at least a little over last season. I don't see how it can get much worse.

i guess it really stood out to me at the orange white game. crompton was running for his life and X. mitchell pretty much went unblocked the whole game. the o-line looked sort of like the florida game last year. they couldn't block anybody.

Weren't some starters on the OL out for injury?

i hope so, but i'm not sure. it looked like most of the starters were playing.

I'm not really trying to talk you out of your opinion, but also don't discount the fact that Crompton was back there in the pocket rather than Ainge and the two starting receivers may not have even been dressed out. A QB taking a drop and getting the ball out on time will make an O-line look good.

Uh-oh, here come facts getting in the way...

I just looked at the lineups, and they were: Scott, McNeil, McClendon, Johnson, and Foster, which I think is the starting 5. Parker may be in there. I think I was mistaken.

Let's be honest for one moment, champy. If they had looked great you'd be here posting about how Phil will coach'em down in time for the season.

Come on tidwell, champy is the most optimistic poster we have on this board. He's behind Captain Krispy 100% percent.

Exactly... as has been said several times as the standard fanspeak... we won't know where any of the units stand until after a couple games.

Or they'd talk about how bad our DL is

well i'm worried about the DL, but i was impressed about how they attacked. they look like they could improve into a good unit. the OL though they looked horrid, even CUT didn't want to talk about it. the only things positive on the offensive side of the ball were hancock looks like a good player and foster ran harder than i saw him all last year.

true, i'm sure they would have looked better with ainge in there, and like i said vinson and some of the other recruits should also make a huge difference. i guess i just didn't like the fact that crompton was running for his life. it seems like they should have been able to block somebody. ainge isn't the fastest QB out there, so i hope they will be running alot of quick outs to save him.
