Enough is enough....

He continues to get in trouble and he continues to get "2nd" chances...

I don't even care what the details of this suspension are...

This is his third suspension in less than a year...he clearly doesn't care about/respect the opportunity his God given talent has afforded him...

If you bring him back you tell him it's okay....you tell him he is above the rules and he can keep doing whatever he wants cause he'll only get a slap on the wrist...

Enough is enough!!!!

Have there been any reports on when, exactly, this latest incident occurred?

Its just that the VN jumped all over Meyer with the Marcus Thomas thing, claiming (without basis in fact) that Meyer had postponed suspending him until after the UT game last year.

Here, we have UT players getting suspended for ULL and I would like to know if perhaps the Coker thing in particular actually developed prior to the USC game.

If this turns out to be what the rumors say it is...I will be completly shocked if he's back...

If it is marijuana...again...then Fulmer would look like a complete jackass if he lets him back on after the "the line has been drawn in the sand" comment

Wouldn't it be a good thing to maybe know some actual confirmed facts before completely throwing him under the bus? This could be anything from another positive drug test to a curfew violation.

I agree with this. Everyone is assuming its a drug offense. Could be something totally unrelated.

Again, I'm most interested in the timing.

Wouldn't it be nice for him to actually start giving a damn about his football future? When someone messes up, give them another chance. When they continue to mess up be done with them.

I agree, but you can't just say "be done with them" when you don't even know what he did.

All due respect GA...here's a fact....3rd suspension in less than a year

That clearly shows a mindset of "I'm above the rules"

If Fulmer is going to keep any credibility he can't let players continue to screw up and get 2nd chances...especially after he says that the previous "rules violation" was his last chance

What had Fulmer said before on Coker?

I'll agree with that. All i want to see are the actual CONFIRMED facts. This could be anything..We will just have to set back and wait..

You have a point. That is definitely troubling, but I still want to know if this is a case of skipping a class or something much more severe before kicking him off the team.

What had Fulmer said before on Coker?

After the August supension this year he said something along the lines of "The line has been drawn in the sand with LaMarcus"

I don't have the exact quote and I don't remember what was said before or after that statement but it's pretty clear he meant there wouldn't be anymore chances for Coker

If it is drugs CPF has no choice. The school will be done with him regardless of his football status.

What? Do you think maybe he told Fulmer a fat joke??

It may be time for some tough love. It is really irrelevant what the violation is since it is an ongoing problem. Sorry, I would rather send him packing and make a statement.

Fulmer promises top recruits like Coker the world to get them to committ to UT. I understand the need to give them 2nd and even 3rd chances.

Your talking about someone's future. Getting a college degree, might be the most important thing he does in his entire life.

It's like being a parent, sometimes you need to be firm sometimes you don't, it's a tough call.

I don't care what the violation is...it would be different if 1 game suspensions were widespread throughout the entire team-then it would make sense to differentiate the severe vs mild infractions. BUT THAT AIN'T THE CASE. Throw the bum off the team...
