Chavis was Clemson's first choice and they would take him right now for sure.

I agree with Larry, it'll be very interesting when O starts recruiting guys that he doesn't want. It'll be like it was with Trooper except 10xs worse since they are on the same side of the ball.

Make no mistake, Monte Kiffin will have tremendous input on who is hired on his side of the ball. I agree that Ed O and slimeSexton have played all sides of this so that no matter what YawYaw does, he gets a big pay boost over what he made this year. By the end of this week our staff will be more solidified. Chavis and Ed O will not be on the same staff. I have heard that Ed O does not like Miles. I still say Ed O ends up with us.

I just do not want to pay Orgeron more than what he is worth. If LSU wants to give him a big pay check, so be it. But I think that there are much better candidates out there for a position coach. We have something that LSU does not have, a great defensive coordinator. They need to hire O to make up for Chavis' inability to recruit. But it will very interesting to see what happens when they put those two on the same staff. We all know about the problems with Chavis and Trooper. This is going to be very interesting if Chavis stays at LSU.

First of all, Sexton is NOT a lawyer. Never went to law school.

Second of all, Sexton is NOT Ed Orgeron's agent. Unless it has happened in the last 2-3 days which I highly doubt.

Believe what you want to believe. Everyone thinks that because Sexton represents half the SEC and a lot of other coaches. But, I'm telling you ... he's NOT Coach O's agent unless it's happened in the last few days (I'll give myself that out haha).

Why does the board get really, really, really slow this time of night?

Edit: and not slow as in not many posts - but its very unresponsive and takes forever to navigate - and no its not my computer - my computer is a super-computer.

I always thought he was doing the backups sometime around 4:00-4:30......I can almost never get online at VN at that time of the morning.
