O and Sexton simply played everyone. They played UT into thinking they had him. They played the media into thinking it was a deal between UT and NO. They played LSU into thinking all of this just to get an offer worth way more than the actual value of the product. Genius really considering he is worth about 400k or so and will probably pull in 650k+. Probably Sexton's best work to date, which includes getting CPF a 6M buyout.

If UT can end up pulling Garner or Blake for 500k or less, they may end up being the winners out of all of this.

Exactly what I was thinking. I just dont know though that Blake or Garner will come to UT.

Sexton is the biggest UT Grad Douche of all time. I wonder if he donates back to UT that he has raped from us over the years? He couldn't even get his neighbor's kid to come play for us. I disown Sexton as Orange. He is just a sleazy lawyer.

I love Blake but I'm not so sure we can overcome his loyalties to Butch. We learned with Mark Smith/Spurrier that money can change all of that. Garner would be a huge blow to UGA while a monstrous pickup to us though.

My brother-n-law is a baseball agent and he's always talking about how Sexton is a sleaze. The LSU boards are having a lot of fun with us. They think they pulled a major coup. But HV is right...O pulled the major coup. In reality when I first heard O was coming I wasn't all that happy but then I got worked up into a frenzy just like everybody else. There are many great coaches out there that we can get that equal and even overtake O's ability to coach. He would've been a great pick-up but I have faith in CLK and he's got another coach coming that will satisfy our needs. Monte I'm sure knows a couple of guys that can fill the void.

I have a feeling Chavis got scammed as well. He could have went to Clemson and probably brought in a couple of his guys. That isn't looking likely and he will probably be making less than one of his position coaches. That would have opened up the door for us to pull Steele but that damn Sexton pulled a quick one on us. I wonder if this will come between O and Lane.

Funny thing is that Hubbs isn't letting go. He says all bets are off and that we aren't going down without a fight. I'll be pissed if we give O a crazy ass offer just to bring him in at this point.

As competitive as Lane is, yes, this will definitely come between the two. I think this gets Lane pumped up even more. HV, when do you think we will hear the next coaching rumor that was as solid as the "O" rumor?

I wonder what O told Lane, if anything.

Its one thing to politely decline the offer, and let Lane go in another direction ASAP!

O did not give him the respect of not dragging it out. All for his pay day.

Hope the money was worth a friend, if it was me you would be less one.
