Eight wins, eight wins, eight wins. That seems to be all you hear for DD to keep his job. Are you telling me that the difference in remaining as the HC at the University of Tennessee can be found in a couple victories over NCSt and MSU? Come on.

I understand the necessity to reach a certain win plateau, but he's gotta beat a team that matters to make it stick. Would you trade a home W over Florida to end that streak for losses in the two mentioned above?

Quality over quantity.

If he beat NCSt and MSU and assuming the wins that I think you are assuming, that would be 7.

I want to shock the world and win the SEC East despite UGA having a high school schedule, again.

I think we can do it IF Bray learns to read the D and Rogers gets his head out of his butt and learns what TEAM really means.

TEAM =

Together
Everyone
Achieves
More

I have a funny feeling that our O line will have their breakout season this year since they should be sick and tired of getting pushed around and our new O line coach will fire them up.

VFL...GBO!!!

Are you arguing against 8 wins keeping Dooley's job, or are you just upset that this is the scenario we find ourselves in at this time?

Yeah, now that I think about it, since CCM lost to an 0-9 Austin Peay team at home he should be on the hot seat too

I might trade a win over Bama for losses against those two, but not a win over Florida. I think Florida is a must win, but I also see Georgia as the key to Dooley's longevity. Dooley needs to beat his daddy's team at some point for people to know he is for real.

1. 8 wins would be the most since 2007.

2. Msu and nc state are away from neyland. Check the record away from neyland in the last few years and you'll see this is a big deal.

If we win 8 games this year, regardless of whom against, plus a bowl game, i'll be very very happy. 9 wins and a bowl game and ill ecstatic.

With this team and the situation we find ourselves in at this moment in time I think quantity of wins is very important.

This is just my opinion, but contrast that to 2003 when UT finished the season 10-2. That was a rather bland 10-2. Yes, UT beat an 8-5 UF team at UF and won at Miami but that wasn't that great of a Miami team (qb'd by Brock Berlin)... Although I was very proud of that win.

Anyway, UT lost to an 8-5 Auburn team and got hammered by UGA. UT only beat 1 SEC team with a winning record (UF). Even though a 10-2 regular season is nothing to take for granted, when you peel a few layers off the onion you'll see the 2003 record wasn't that impressive. 2004's regular season record was much more impressive with FR qb's (and Rick Clausen) leading the way.

I know... But I mean we both know we are not gonna make a run at a National Championship this year. We have a shot for the SEC east but that is it. We just have to face facts.

Hoping for a Bowl game and winning the East of the greatest conference in CFB are two different things.

No one claims to have a shot at the national title...

At this point I would like quantity OR quality. Haven't had either in years. With that being said, I think this year we have the potential for both.

I don't think you will have to worry about that. Sal comming from Alabama, he will blitz alot. Wilcox was not a SEC D.cordinator. He was more bend but dont break kind of D. You have to go after the QB in the SEC or they will light you up. Pressure on QB leads to turnovers.

We also did pretty good with the run game last year, at least I thought we did. Our secondary has to get better.

You all know you are responding to a well-known Bama troll just trying to stir the pot, right?
