Just the official text saying Gruden has turned us down.

I got that, too. I am actually glad that the Gruden drama is over. I'm ready to support our new coach, even if it isn't someone I want.

It's about time. Now it's time to actually get a coach that cares about Tennessee and will get us back to where we need to be. The Gruden stuff has been a mess from the get go.

This. People can overreact all they want, but at the end of the day I'd rather have someone who's all in for Tennessee than someone who's likely going back to the NFL sooner rather than later.

EXACTLY! Gruden would have gotten a ton of money and could of done a lot of great things. How long before he went back to the NFL? Probably a lot quicker than it took to kill all of these rumors. I for sure want a coach that wants to be at Tennessee. Kiffen used our program as a stepping stone..I don't want Gruden doing the same thing

Exactly. I am certain that hart's choice for new HC will not be leaving us for a position in the NFL.

Superbowl winning coaches don't need "stepping stones" to coach in the NFL. He very well may have left us for the NFL, but it wouldn't be because he used us as a stepping stone.

I don't mean to be "that guy", but if that text you received didn't come from UT or it wasn't a direct quote from a named source at UT then it isn't official

Not holding out hope, I think Gruden isn't coming atm, but what I think has nothing to do with any of it. It isn't official until UT says something.
