Being "done" doesnt mean you stop being a fan. You can admit watching Tenn football is down right depressing and a waste of time. You can change the channel to a good football game, its ok. If you're like me, you're a Tenn fan 2nd, football fan 1st anyway. You can spend more time with the family or outside work. You can do this and not feel like a traitor.

I agree with what you're saying but I sure as hell am not a "football fan 1st" and a "Tennessee fan second." I can't even understand that. That would imply I'd watch the Iron Bowl as a fan. Like hell. Like cold, frigid, frosty hell with mugs of Natty Light and bowls of Olestra potato chips hell.

Been watching and going to see the Vols since 1967. We were at least competitive in almost all of those years. Going cheap on coaches has not worked and will not work. Hamilton is the devil and showed how inept he was as a leader. Kiffin was a child hired when Hamilton was warned by Al Davis , a crook himself, but he hired him anyway. Dooley was and is an idiot,Jones was insane and now we have Jethro Bodine as a head coach. My God somebody take control or make Neyland a large flower garden! This crap has to stop!!!

I'm a Tennessee fan first. Without them being good I have no use for football in my life.

Maybe the occasional "big" SEC game but I'm out as far as a football fan goes. Time to just watch replays for the same reason people watch fail videos on YouTube.

This ^^

Its hard for me to understand that position. I hate baseball, so I will never watch UTs baseball team. I like bball ok, but Im not going to get incredibly excited, watching every possible game when they suck. Its hard for me to envision being as passionate as I am about the football team if I don't love watching football already.

This is where I am as well. For me, the Vols were the only reason to watch.

The only reason I'm going to a few more games this year is that my father and I already bought the tickets and there are some good breweries in Knoxville to hit after we see the PoTS play at halftime.

We already sold our UGA-UT tickets, due to my having travel plans (at least we got face value for them), so that's a positive.

How can you love watching Tenn play and not love football enough to watch big games?
Unless you're an alum I guess would male sense.

I just have better things to do with my time at this point. Plus, ice hockey season is right around the corner, the trout streams are less crowded during football season, the air is nice and cool for some hiking...etc.

I can be done from being emotionally attached to the outcome but I still watch them.

Oh yeah I get that. But I'm watching Auburn/A&M right now cuz it should be a good game. I'll watch most of UGA/ND tonight, hoping to witness UGA lose. I like watching exciting football.

That may be a slap in the face to Jethro.

Not only have I lost interest in the Vols, I now have no interest in college football period.
I was looking forward to a couple great games today...that $h17 show we put on the field has taken college football fandom right out of me...
...Titans took NFL out of me a long time ago, but at least I have fantasy football for that.

Still a fan of the program. I no longer support it financially though and won't til they fix that circus up there. It's not all about the players and coaches either. Hasn't been and it's why it's what it is..
