Can the Vols upset the Dawgs to make it three in a row, and get themselves back in the SEC race...

or will this be the final nail in the coffin for our SECE chances for 2008...

What are everyone's thoughts on this matchup!?

Even if the Vols do somehow beat the Bulldogs, they have exactly 0 chance of winning the SEC East.

georgia is overrated, yes. but they still win IMO. it doesn't help that we have a relatively new qb on the road at Sanford Stadium either.

My analysis...

I think there are a few things that could give us some hope for a victory for this weekend.

1.) I forsee the offense to look by far the best it has all season this weekend. Nick came out proved himself more than capable to be our starting QB, This was basically our first game of the new season so I believe you will see a big improvement in game one for the offense to game two...another week for Nick to get alll the number one reps in practice and they can all gel and get on the same page.

2) To say that Georgia may overlook us is an understatment. GA is not known to keep their mental focus very well and I think they could not only overlook us, but still be down from the very emotional loss against Bama and be dwelling on that lost opportunity.

3)GA is banged up. Even after a bye week they will be 80% healthy at best...and 80% healthy GA may be better than a 100% healthy UT with Cottam and Britton returning but I do like our chances.

4)I don't see our defense having to big of a problem holding GA to a modest Offensive output. GA will have their plays but I see us having a pretty good defensive matchup with GA, we always have.

Sooo in conculsion, we limit the turnovers like this week and catch GA napping we have a chance to pull this upset off!!!

Yeah the chances of winning the east are done, but lets be the spoiler this year and upset UGA, BAMA, & VU. The season aint over yet, so lets salvage what we can of it. ut has no heart, no coaching, no firepower. ga wins by 17 or more. ga would have to play it's worst game in years to allow us to even stay in the game.

Florida would have to lose two more games, and we would have to beat Miss. St., South Carolina and Kentucky. In other words, I would take that bet

Good point duckman, but if everybody else on offense step up and rally around him i like our chances. O-line has gotta block better they got whooped last nite by a undersized D-line, recivers as got to make catches, and keep Arian Foster on the bench.

Did somebody just say we need to be a spoiler and upset Vandy? Holy Crap... when did the 30's come back? Somebody wake me up when this nightmare is over.

Does anyone not think our defense matches up well with GA???

The turnovers will be the key in the game, but Nick showed he makes solid decisions and can move us down the field...I thin we are going to be in for a pleasent suprise!

We had 3 points and 23 rushing yards against NIU at the half at home. Tell me again how we are going to beat Georgia.
