No I'm saying he hasn't been cleared yet, like the poster was saying. His situation is still in the NCAA clearinghouse stage, and unfortunately with the NCAA you can't count on anything.

Kentucky asked about Enes Kanter on September 1st, they didn't get a decision until November 11th. But that was a unique situation, the pro team he was playing for was in Turkey and didn't cooperate at all with the NCAA's requests. I suspect it took so long because they were trying to give them every chance to cooperate. But Kanter was allowed to enroll and start taking classes at Kentucky while the process was under way.

That said, in this case I can't imagine it would take as long due to this most likely being a simple grades issue instead of a pro/amateur situation.

How long normally does this take to get cleared? It seems to be taking a long time or is it that you just don't normally hear about this part?

That's the issue, it sometimes takes days to as long as a year, or even never.
