Guys, we are on the up and up. Recruits know it. Other SEC coaches know it -- they aren't letting any of their commits visit us if they can help it -- and we should know it.

If we have the talent, we easily beat UCLA yesterday. Some say we were a QB away and that's hard to argue, but we were also a Josh McNeil away IMO.

We are only going to continue to get better this year and we have a very good schedule. Our last 4 games are very, very winnable and we will be much improved by that point.

We will lose to Florida in dramatic fashion. Just expect it. Don't come on here starting ridiculous threads about playcalling, Crompton sucking, ect. Just take it for what it is: a team at the top of the heap in terms of talent beating a team that is not in their league yet. But we will be. Soon.

I sure hope so. I'm not getting any younger. :ermm:

having josh mcneil in the game would have atleast made a couple of yards of a difference...... all we needed to win.

Good post Sab. We should all expect what can happen at Florida saturday...we knew it before the season started. We have another top recruiting class coming in and the Vols will be back soon!

no offense, and i know what he is saying is true, but you guys are completely kissing sabs butt. yes we probably will lose this weekend, but we should not just accept it and write it off and not care. thats what makes us fans. we care and hope with all our might even when we probably will lose.

Sab is spot on here.

I believe in this staff. We aren't going to turn into world-beaters overnight. Give it some time. We have excellent coaches that are the best recruiters in the country. We WILL be back sooner rather than later.

Patience my Volnation friends.

I didn't start this thread to get anyone to kiss my butt FWIW. And anyone hoping to beat Florida this year is just setting themselves up for disappointment, but be my guest.

I try to be a little bit more realistic. We will be in some games this year, but not this one.

I have to say I admire your refusal to lose hope.

I agree Sab, my mindset is completely set on Expecting The Worst, and hoping for the best, so I wont be disappointed. Yesterday was sooooo hard for me as a fan. We've waited all year for yesterday, only to be let down the way we were.

It will just be interesting to see how we stack up against the best college football team in 11 years..........................

As has been pointed out before, Saban lost to Louisiana-Monroe his first year. Didn't he go 6-6? No need to worry, ladies and gents.

i didnt say you did. and although disappointment may come, it is something that i will endure as long as i never give up the hope for the team i follow and have loved as long as i can remember.

I sure hope it is sooner rather than later. But hey, I will be a fan for life. I am not a fair weather fan. Gotta take the tough losses to truly appreciate the epic wins. IMO

This weekend just jolted most of Volnation back 2 reality. JC isnt good at all, and you aint gonna win much without a decent QB. The goal should be improvement and 7 wins. A top 5 recruiting class should make everyone feel better.

Great news.. Should be a little slap to the face for all those fans who are already trying to write off Kiffin and his staff. At this rate of recruiting, our team will be loaded with great talent. Just give it some time.
