It's been over 24 hours since the Hurd news came out. Can we move on to other topics like what the outlook for John Kelly is? If you want to bash the coaching that's fine but Hurd is gone , his mom was very nice to UT and the coaches, let the kid be and let's talk about other subjects.

Amen, OP. I'm looking forward to a slightly healed UT team with resolve; to still pulling for the miracle of two UF losses (Arky and LSU...not impossible) punctuated with a 4-0 regular season finish and a trip to Atlanta; to a revived UT running game with Alvin and Jelly ripping over-under-around-and-through these upcoming defenses; to a great bowl season and a big party on NSD. GBO!

They have something to prove. I promise you they have a bad taste in their mouth after losing to South Carolina. Maybe (just maybe) this loss can be a wake up call i guarantee you they do not want to feel this way again this year with who is left on the schedule. This team won't lay down they've proven that already

I agree with the OP. It don't matter what we think, what Hurd's folks say now, it's over and done with. Let's talk about football. It sucks and I somewhat feel like we wouldn't deserve it but if this team comes out and looks like we expected them to all season, albeit against inferior competition, if Florida drops 2/3 of their remaining conference games we can still go to Atlanta. I'm not going to mail it in on this team. We didn't expect 3 losses, let alone 3 straight losses but going to cheer the guys on regardless.

Someone please tell me what the benefit would be to continue playing (in the next 4 games) any underperforming player that will not return next season?

We are bowl eligible after this weekend and we could beat Tech with me playing QB.

I understand if there is not a backup, but that is not the case all over. Play the guys who you think will be starting next season. Get them reps. Eliminate the lack of experience excuse, which by the way has been proven a moot point (see our O-Line).

My only hesitation would be that we will need all of the experience on the field to beat UK and Vandy. I think it would be good to start him for Tech to get him some snaps but they wont listen to me :)
