This is for all the were 5-0, everything is great, just be happy, stfu and quit voicing your concerns over the mediocre to bad play for 15 out of 20 quarters.
We were happy but concerned but you said a W is all that mattered!
Now I see a lot of we only lost by 3 in overtime , moral victory threads.

It's a loss and we are the more talented team I think. I am pissed, it's a loss

You sound like TAM trolls on Twitter last night. Sometimes losses provide something to build on. The Sugar VOLS are honored but they had notable losses and played through attrition. It must be nice to be Ricky Bobby (if you're not first, you're last), I want wins too, but you can be proud of the grit.

Back in August if you would've told us we'd be 5-1 at this point beating both Florida and Georgia 99% of us would be very content with that. Yeah we beat are selves, but this team have more fight in them than any I remember ever seeing. (To be fair I'm 27)

I've witnessed two other Vols teams with this much heart.

1985 and 1998

I have to say, UT is one of the most exciting teams in the country. I'd rather watch ya'll play than just about any team out there.

When you got down in the first half, my son said, "the Vols have them right where they want them".

It was amazing that even though you were down a lot of your main players, especially on defense, having to fight the turnovers and the refs, you still took them to double OT.

I don't know many other teams that could do that.

The Vols have no quit in them. They fight through the adversity. It's a tribute to the players and the coaches.

I understand disappointment coming from the fans, that a game was lost that could have been won. But look at your team. There is a lot to be proud of.

Next week, go kick Bama's butt.

Tennessee played sloppy, Texas A&M played dirty.

Last play was a heartbreaker, but sort of symbolic.

Still it was an amazing game. Vols are all heart and there ain't no quit in them.

That's cool. Might be a little "Vol Orange" instead of "Gator Orange" in his blood.

I've been watching the Vols all season, and what heart! They never, never gave up, and this was a tremendous game.

But I don't think the Aggies played dirty. They did, ultimately outscore the Vols. Seven turnovers cost the Vols the game, not dirty play or dirty refs or dirty timekeepers.

Nope, he's Gator through and through. :)

He just knows that UT doesn't get their motor running until they are down a TD or two.

Good luck with Bama next week. I'm tired of hearing how great they are.

Your rite its a loss but screw your attitude about it. If we hadn't turned the ball over 6 times in regulation we wouldn't have loss and if we hadn't turn it over in overtime it still probably wouldn't have been a loss. And I am not going to use all the injury's for a excuse even thow its starting to get there.

Down by 10 to 21 in 5 out of 6 , 20 or 21 fumbles +? Interceptions, stupid penalties every game! I appreciate the way the team never quits, and the come from behind wins as much as ANY of you, and am as happy as anyone with the 5 wins! But the point of my thread is no matter how crappy we play if we win that's all that matters, and no one has a right to criticize anything, yet we play like crap and lose and it's all about everything else except a W or L

Primarily because it doesn't matter whether we win or lose to some on this board. There has only been one, yes one, undefeated UT team in the modern era. The team plays hard to the end and that is a vast improvement over several teams i have watched over the years. Turnovers by the best players has not been a trademark of the Butch Jones era. Key injuries aside, the next man up has been prepared and played very well.

We are all fans of the same team right? A win is a win and a loss is a loss. No need in trying to spin an ugly win or a good loss.

Some of us are just thankful that the boys wearing that power T never give up. Now am I happy that we start slow every week, abso-freaking-lutely no. Yesterday's loss for me was a mixed bag of emotions. We beat ourselves and failed to execute General Neyland's first 2 maxims. However we have lived by maxim 3 all year and did so yesterday as well.

8 turnovers is unacceptable but the resolve and fortitude to fight, claw, and scrap our way back into the game. That right there sir is a team that I can get behind. I feel your pain GVol1966. I feel your frustration as well.

Our season is not lost by losing against TAMU. We still control our destiny for the East. Even if we lose to Bama next week we have a real shot at 10-2 regular season and potentially a shot at redemption in the SEC championship game (10-2 does require that Florida loses 1 more). Can you really sit there and tell me after the past 10 years of true mediocrity that 10-2 or 11-1 wont make you happy? Also a reminder Florida and Georgia, oh yeah WWTFA!!!!!! Better yet we have a 2 game win streak over the Bulldogs!

So GVol1966 I say to you have fun venting the tough, hard fought loss against TAMU. Keep the passion for this team and lets remember its Bama week. WGWTFA!!!

Do you remember what the team looked like under Dooley??? If they went down by 7 - 10 points they would fold & the game was over... this team fights all the way to triple zero on the clock in every game!! Are there things to fix? Yes! They acknowledge that, the coaches acknowledge that... but for cryin' out loud we're the team that no team in the country wants to play because they know we are never out of the game!! We showed that again yesterday... despite 6 of the 7 turnovers, we fought back & got right back into the game!!!

Now, let's get ready to beat Bama!!!

There we go. The flip floppers are now flip flopping back to the moral victory. Before, the sunshine pumpers were saying all that matters is we are winning. Last year it was all about the moral victories--we are getting better each week. I posted about this a few weeks ago and the sunshine pumpers were all over it.

Anyway, the team played great in the 4th quarter. They never quit. I love that!!!

However, it is concerning that we continue to be unable to start a game or even show up until halftime. I'm not sure what the problem is but sure hope the coaches can figure it out before Saturday or we will be sitting at 5-2.

Just watched the final play again. Reminded myself it was a first down. Not third down like I thought. There were 4-5 Aggies defenders and 1 Vol getting triple teamed. Worst play call but Dobbs must have known that throw wasn't going to make it. So annoyed he threw it away after battling so hard.

So, it's back to a Waffle House parking lot cage match somewhere in East Tennessee? Where can I get my tickets is all I wanna know, I'll fly in for that! Good Lord I miss those "Tough Man" fights and beer belly local bar world champs getting their axxes handed to them on the regular.
