Winning is good. We need to be realistic here thou. These games aren’t going to come close to the type game it takes to beat people we need to beat. Way too many unforced mistakes by players, way too many dumb decisions by the coaches. But bottom line is a win so let’s enjoy but with moderation

They are young so hopefully they will learn and grow .

As far as the percentages go, a win is a win, but that was about as ugly a win as they get. Coming away with six points on field goals in three trips inside the red zone is terrible. I may have lost count, but I think there were at least four offsides penalties on the defense – on the freaking defense! I know there was a long lay off from the last game, but there were far, far too many instances of stupid penalties. I am not an offense of coordinator, but it sure looked to me like we were able to get outside of the Indiana defense with regularity, but did not fully exploit that capability.

Making it back to a decent bowl game and winning is even better, but we are still at the level of celebrating victories over teams like Indiana, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, other mediocre teams and even some bottom dwellers. We are a long, long way from seriously threatening uF, Georgia and Bama on a consistent basis.

I think Tennessee will go 9-3 with losses to Florida,Alabama and Georgia but it will still be a big step forward
