It took Kentucky 5 years to get the defense right

Nor they should.

It’s completely stupid that it’s even being brought up.

Probably still waiting for Gruden to come right through that door.
I don’t know why I continue to get on this site after a loss. I hate the sky is falling mentality some of these people have. It baffles me. Can’t believe this is brought up either???

We need coaches. Helton isnt the long term answer. There is worse for sure, see Butch Jones and Larry Scott, but isnt good. And Pruitt got schooled tonight by Muschamp's OC, absolutely schooled. I am embarrassed for him
I'm starting to think that CJP is like one of those big time college basketball coaches who is used to rolling the ball out to a bunch of All Americans.

They also haven’t won the SEC in 68 years.

I’ll not emulate Kentucky.

Knock yourself out.
Let’s hear your example. What path would you take to putting a championship caliber defense on the field if you inherited this team?

Look, this is what a message board is for. You don't have to post or like what someone else posts or even read a single thread. We are just Vol fans commiserating (or celebrating) with each other. We are like family, WE can cuss and gripe and moan about the team all day long, but let someone from another fan base do it and they are history. Pull up a chair, friend, and keep what you like and toss out what you don't. That's what we do here. :)

3 years. That’s all you get.

If not, adios amigo. Next man up.
That’s not what I asked. This thread is about defense and what it takes to be good. Everyone is acting like what we saw today is what we’ll see for the next 3 years. I’m saying stop freaking out and consider for a moment that nobody inherits a team this depleted of talent and puts a good defense on the field in year 1.

I don’t know what you’re getting at. It’s a thread about defense and what it takes to be good. It takes talent or time. That’s the only options. We don’t have talent. That leaves time.
