BellSouth Southern Sports Tonight has learned that South Carolina head football coach Lou Holtz told his coaching staff Wednesday night that he will retire at the end of the current season. Also, it appears that USC athletic director Mike McGhee could be leaving within the next six months to one year.

What's that got to do with "The Visor" though? I know people speculate he'd take that job, but I say there's no way. Gator runs too deep in his blood. He may coach in college again, but I think it will be as far away from UF as possible.

ESPN reports that Spurrier is NOT interested in an NFL coaching job. He's interested in college... and has already turned down Florida.

I've got a conspiract theory that says that Spurrier is toying with everybody and will eventually end up back at Florida.

Ive heard rumors of Dolphins, gators, gamecocks, and several other teams. Spurrier is a psych guru therefore he'll eventually end up where he can make the most $ and with the largest success potential. Great golf courses are a premium.

What does this have to do with Spurrier? And don't let LIO see how you spelled "coming". If he comes back, it will not be to USC.

I'm leaning with GAVol. I wouldn't be suprised if he ended up at Florida after all. Where else is he gonna go? I don't think SC.

Clemson maybe, Tulane, Kentucky, SC, UF, NC or UAB.

WTF? Are you just coming up with programs off the top of your head? Thats not even speculuation. For instance - UAB couldn't nor would they want to afford Spurrier. Furtheremore, UAB isn't looking for a new coach.

I think TNVOLS1 is just illustrating how stupid all of this speculation is.

Maybe Bobby Bowden will retire and FSU will hire Spurrier??

That made me laugh out loud, Stormy.

I have given up on trying to educate this board. That job doesn't pay enough. :shakehead:
