the reality that we aren't the team that was hyped all summer and the fact that we won't be for some time to come. I don't want to beat a dead horse but the beginning of the Thursday Night Football lead-in on ESPN just wasn't the same. I am usually very excited every time I see it just like the NFL theme that every hummms in the commercial, but tonight it simply made me depressed and sad. I want to be a fan of a team that shows up on the top 25 in the background of Mark, Granny and the other ESPN dude but we aren't there. Did you know we did not get a single vote in the AP rankings this past week and only 4 votes in the USA Today. Sorry for the rambling but it just really hit me hard tonight at the beginning of the telecast for the game tonight. Sad Times.

I got excited on the first punt when Texas A&M covered it like they knew what they were doing.

I take it you didn't watch the halftime show where we were "Off the Mark" on Mark May's weekly doo-dads.

Yea, as a gator we went through some tough times with the Zooker. Just hang in there, the big money boosters will not put up with it much longer. Ok now I am waiting for Volunteerpajama to blast me.

How did you know?

Of course the fact that we were embarrassed hit me the moment the game was over but this is the beginning of the new week of football when we aren't even a consideration. It is just a tough thing to deal with after looking so forward to the season for so many long months.
