Anyone else sick and tired of reading threads about recruiting when it doesn't matters. The only thing that matters is signin day and who you get. Verbals are pointless right now. All that is happening, fans are getting upset at who's committed and what recruits put on their twitter feeds when it doesn't matter. All this stuff does is make you worry about things that don't matter.

Example, Davin just went to visit GA. UT fans are checking his twitter feed and worried about every nice thing he has to say about Athens. Well, what do you expect him to do? Trash the place via twitter? I said all of that to say this. It doesn't matter. It only matters on signing day. If a kid wants to be here then they will come. We have enough talent to win next year and we will be fine now that we have competent coaches. Lets go Vols and Coach Jones.

I believe everyone is worried we will finish 2nd for the few elite prospects we are in on, on NSD.

I agree with everything except the talent statement. I don't believe that we have the talent needed to win against the better teams on our schedule. We are losing all of our experience at WR, QB, and still have no identity on D. I think it's going to be ugly next year, but I sure won't blame this staff.

There is still no reason to worry! The avg fan can't do anything about it! Just appreciate what we get and be a fan!!!!

Wrong place to make this thread, buddy. Here we are concerned about whether or not a 17 year old kid chose oatmeal or cereal for breakfast. We would also like to know how many times he farted in a given span of time. The amount of fartage could be a determining factor in his commitment to one school over the other.

I said compete. Compete means that we will be competitive and have a chance to win. Check our last three years recruiting because the rankings said we should be competitive.

Recruiting has become business , that's why you see all the hype theatrics, and drama. Ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm sick and tired of it and still spend three hours a day in this forum

 I know ... I get googley eyed tryin' to keep up. Why? Because when we do get a high school kid that was highly recruited, it means the new Vols coaching staff is 'gettin' some reespek' from potential recruits and that goes a long way toward reducing my Maalox consumption!

Sooo.... what's your point? It's more entertaining to create threads to piss and moan about others pissing and moaning? Maybe I should start a thread about threads pissing and moaning about other threads pissing and moaning. I'm sure that would accomplish something.

Thanks, Weezer for your input. Now back to more moaning & b!tching & crying stuff.

Nothing! That's why I said " the avg fan can't do anything about it".

Right...

You said the average fan can't do anything about it.

I asked what the "above average" fan can do about it. And I still want to know.

The networks covering their announcements has been a mistake imo, but it sells.

Truth. I acknowledge that this will never happen, but I would love it if a coach would tell a player....."we're glad you want to come play at UT, but if you pull this news conference jersey rip off bullsh!t, we'll pull the schooly so quick it'll make your head spin."

The average fan can go to the games and cheer for UT, and support our coaches' decisions. They are out there trying to get good recruits.

I realize just how completely crazy it is to follow these threads and get emotionaly involved in the choices these KIDS make. However, I CANT STOP! Recruiting is a very strange substance to be addicted to. I am this way until NSD then a day or two later, I'm evaluating our prospects for the next class.
