I know there have multiple threads about the duplicitous treatment of the national media toward UT (and more specifically the fans) since the s**t show that happened Sunday. I have written more than once on this site that I would rather look bad in the eyes of the national spotlight for a week than be married to Schiano for 4-5 yrs. That hire was wrong on every level......especially for UT at this time. Every douche reporter with a large platform has taken an uniformed cheap shot at our expense. Fine.....whatever. Ultimately, we will be much better off not having Schiano on campus. What happened Sunday, IMO, will make UT a better place in the long run. Short term loss for long term gain.
And then.......
I happened to watch a video interview of Chris Low by Bob Lea on the ESPN college football page. Then my blood boiled! I think the exact words that were used by that fat steaming pant load (Lea) was a fitting end to the digital mob rule of this past weekend when Lowe said he thinks Schiano will ultimately sue UT of the breach of contract.
Who the f*** do tho people think they are?
Why is it that people in New York, Bristol (CT), and Los Angeles think they know whats best for our university, State, or fan base? How can they look down their noses at us with their stupid, indignant attitude and tell us, like children, how we are too dumb to realize what a great opportunity we missed with Schiano. Why, Bob Lea, are you not calling out Ta&m for not considering GS?
What about UF? Or Arkansas? SVP, these schools, like UT, must be full of backwards rubes.....that dont have him their short list. Hey, Pat Forde, shouldnt you be livid that Nebraska is so myopic about the stellar record of GS? Where is Boomer Esiason, why arent you questioning the relevance of UCLA since they didnt recognize the next coming of Nick Saban? All the hate for UT. Im sure Dan Patrick has to be perplexed that MSU doesnt want the DC from the 6th best D in the Big 10? Im sure when UCF needs to replace Frost, all theses blowhards will spew their discontent toward that university. Think Finebaum will lose sleep if Clemson passes over GS to be DC when Venebales jettisons to a be a HC?
The real answer is: there will not be a peep.
Because they know about his marginal coaching record; his abrasive personality; his toxic locker rooms; and his potentially problematic questionable past. But, we should shut up and swallow this pill; and like it; bc they told us it was good for us!
Poor GS is the victim of an uniformed, unappreciative mob.
Somehow, in there collective pea brains, the only place that was deserving of GSs talent was UT. The fact that NO ONE ELSE is considering this POS is irrelevant. I mean, what else do you think you are going to get.....you are a .500 team over the past 10 years and he did a really good job at Rutgers.....maybe the fans dont realize how hard it is to win at Rutgers! was the remarks of some snot nose Yahoo Sports reporter to the mob at Tennessee. How is that UTs fans expectations are way over the top when Ta&m just fired their best coach in 30yrs? If Auburn has lost to UA last weekend, they would have pushed Malzahn out of the nest despite 9 wins and a top 10 ranking? That UF fired their coach after he won two consecutive SEC east titles? Why dont these a-holes spew their vile toward those places?
Rhetorical question I guess.
