ISIS Takes Control of Mosul

Hopefully that is directed at yourself and Hog because in comparison to you two I'm Albert bloody Einstein. :peace2:

I want to know who liked this post...

Man up. Don't be a *****.

Just so you know, if hog doesn't know it, and I don't know it, it's not worth knowing.

Ahhh hail the queen.

In Amerli, an unusual alliance defeated Islamic radicals. Don

But on Friday, as the Kurdish pesh merga fighters approached the city to greet the residents they helped save, they were treated less like liberators and more like intruders. “Pesh merga forces are not allowed to enter this city!” yelled a Shiite militiaman with Kataib Hezbollah, an Iraqi group. He waved his rifle at them and the pesh merga retreated.

“We fought for three months here, and now we have to fight these bastards,” said one of the pesh merga, who regard this area as part of their territory. “If this continues, we’ll have another war.”

“They are just like animals,” said a second pesh merga fighter. “They are mules.”

This will end well.

A new "Coalition of the Willing" has been formed BBC News - Obama: Nato coalition ready to join US against IS

A coalition of Nato allies is ready to join the United States in military action against Islamic State (IS), US President Obama has announced.

Speaking at the Nato summit in Wales, he said that a "core coalition" had been formed to tackle the threat.

US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said the group would be the US, Britain, Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Turkey.

Well, guys gear up & get out there.....you're a year behind because our wimpy confused leader wanted to stay on vacation & be on the golf course to play golf games with his buddies & he'd rather sit around & blame the Republicans & Congress for the USA's ills never thinking his own domestic policies at home suck & don't work for America's citizens. Obama is the worst person to have as president. He's such an embarrassment to us for his lack of leadership in all things that matter.

Well you are known for your humorous nature Grand..... Surprised you have suddenly become blind!

It comes with the ability to actually recognize humor. I tend to like the campy, dry humor Brits portray. You?

Just don't have it.

Cheers mate! Toss another shrimp on the barbie!

Does this reporter also miss that plenty of Democrats are calling for strikes as well?

But this caught my eye:

When confronted by complex problems – as the US is now in Iraq and Syria – sometimes the best strategy is to do nothing at all. The problem may go away or burn itself out.

We can all wish things may happen, but it doesn't make it reality. And reality is if ISIS continued to grow stronger without US aid, where would they be now?

So the question to you is, do you think they are going to be content to just sit on their little frog pad in the Middle East?

I personally do not care. They are no threat to us. Fear monger all you wish, they are a small group of about 10k not even a blip on the radar.

We've intervened quite enough in the Middle East.

Further on this as I'm on cup of coffee #2...

Those that attempt to make this into a right versus left debate are missing the central points. This isn't about a conservative versus liberal mentality if we should be involved. Plenty on both sides are calling for action or inaction so reporters that try to play the political angle are doing little but swaying the attention away from the group itself. And missing the overall principle that it's now or later.

Does Obama get a lot of blame for not having a coherent plan on ISIS? He does and that's not indicative of his political beliefs. That's more of a spotlight on his ineptitude and complete lack of ability to perform his duties as POTUS. So as soon as a reporter starts in on the "conservatives are bad and want to strike!" I lose all interest as the individual has zero clue what they are talking about and are doing little more than seeking attention.

In a nation that's politically polar opposites on many things, ISIS is not about (R) versus (D). It's far less murky than most things political.

I know Biden's recent remarks were probably meant to rally Americans around the cause, but I just wonder about the intelligence of such remarks. Bathing this conflict in religious rhetoric, whether intentional or not, just doesn't seem smart. Just like Bush's "crusade" comment wasn't intelligent either.

One has to wonder if such comments work adversely to confirm the warped notion of the opponent that America and the West are against Islam. I feel dumb for even posting that, but, then again, not everyone around the world has the benefit of education to help them filter such comments.

I'm pretty sure Lew Rockwell is a libertarian. On the foreign interventions, libertarians believe both the R's and D's have lost their minds.
