going to be the best punter we ever had in Knoxville? Right now I would have to say yes. That last punt tonight was simply one of the best punts I've ever seen.

He has been remarkable so far. If he doesn't have an award at the end of the season I declare shenanigans.

He was a quarter yard to far on a punt for our guy to field it inside the 1yrd line. That placement is rare.

That punt is and will always be the best punt I've ever witnessed. No way he could do that if he tried 100 times. The way they were moving the football that might have won the game for us.

Does Trevor have any younger brothers? Cousins?

Would it be inappropriate to ask if someone could introduce Trevor to one of our (Lady)Vol soccer players? Or is there an NCAA rule against fan involvement in legacy-making?

Trevor Daniel is the best punter i have seen in college football in many years. He will be a punter that will get drafted, as long as he continues to do what he is doing.

Trevor is the best punter to come through Tennessee. That's hard for me to even mutter that out my mouth, but that's the honest truth. Through the first 6 games anyways.

LOL Trevor Daniel is amazing and deserves every accolade showered on him! He's a fantastic weapon for us. However that punt at the end was pure luck! That ball took such a wonky bounce! I love Daniel but let's not pretend that ball went out of bounds at the one because of something he did.

He is having an amazing season. We are very lucky to have him. However, Dustin Colquitt was amazing in 2003. In the South Carolina game that year, he had a couple of punts like the one Daniel had today. The best punt I ever remember seeing was in 1997 against Nebraska in the Orange bowl. On the first possession, Chris Hoge for UT kicked a 76 yard punt that was downed at the one.

David Leaverton was also excellent at getting punts inside the 5 yard line. He didn't always kick it very hard, but he was great at pinning a team deep if we stalled at midfield.

True. But let's not forget he had them pinned on the 8 yard line twice.

Considering the situation and time of the game, that may be one of the best punts in UT history for sure. For a no star recruit with no offers to walk on, and be currently playing his way into an NFL job someday, that's pretty damn fortunate for us.
