Is this right? Top 10??

Everyone is reporting that we are in the top 10 for the first time since 2006. If this is right that means we were 5-0 and had beaten VT, Florida and Georgia and were still not in the top 10??? I tried to find this on the internet but had no luck. Every publication I have read so far says we have not been in the top 10 since 2006

I believe what they should be saying is that Tennessee hasn’t been ranked this high (#8) since 2006.

According to Wikipedia, we were #9 for two straight weeks in 2016, staying there even after losing to A&M. We didn't fall till we got blown out by Bama the next week.

Right, we also actually began 2016 in the top 10 as well. Ranked #9. But we all know how that year ended so it’s easy for people to forget.

Rankings are not a big deal until November anyways. If we are in the top 10 in November, I will be happy.

Uggh that TAM game was brutal I remember that.. Everyone selectively forgets 2015,2016 we were really good before the wheels fell off.. early 2000s also really good..just much more dramatic to exaggerate.. it’s been a decade and a half or twenty years we’ve wandered the wilderness there have been some bright spots too

We were 7th in 2006 until we lost to LSU. We were last in the top 5 in 2005 when the wheels blew off the bus completely and we finished 5-6 with a loss to Vandy.
