I was just over at ESPN and checked the actual signees for each team in the SEC. I had to do a double take on Ole Miss...37 signed! And they're still showing (4) verbal! What the heck is that crap?

Probably a little too much of a stretch of oversigning.....lol. That is saying they pretty much know that 12 kids will not qualify academically.

Seems like there would be a cap on that somewhere. Its really smart. Sign more than you can take, weed through them and cut the ones you don't want or greyshirt them if they agree to that. I imagine this is common practice at some schools. Pretty cut throat though, if you ask me. Saban is ruthless, i can't stand him, but i admire the drive the man has.

This can also backfire badly.

Depends on how he manages it? My guess is it will backfire on recruits outside of Bama eventually, then he leaves town.

The guy signed 13 players on the OL and DL. Depth sure won't be a problem there now. Something else is going on down there besides nicky just being a good coach. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Some will count toward last year's group, some will probably grayshirt, some will not qualify. Not sure what will happen to the others.

They signed anyone with a pulse who could run or had size. A bunch of those recruits will not qualify. Plus, they'll clean house on their current roster and get rid of some nonproducers.

Nah he signed players that look just like other players so when the good player gets arrested, he can put his twin in jail instead.
