I really like several shows and try to record some of them for my DVR. For instance, I love Married with Children, That 70's Show, and a few others. I really like certain episodes of each that I can throw on my DVR so I can watch when nothing else is on without having to dig through DVD's. Same goes for several movies like Caddyshack, Halloween, Clue, Fletch, etc.
I know that TV schedules are only set so far in advance. However, I think it would be nifty if there was an internet site where you could put your favorite individual episodes of shows in or favorite movies and the site email you when it finds a TV listing for it. That way you can set your DVR and be good to go. I know I can type the movie title in on my DirecTV and it will show me things two weeks out or so but its pretty time consuming to do it for every movie I would like to catch. Same goes for individual episodes of TV shows.
IMDB lists every episode for every show and all the movies there are. I wish they or someone else had a feature that I could click certain movies or episodes of shows and then when it sees that its coming on it shoots me an email so I can set the DVR. Heck, maybe something already does that but I'm not aware of it. It crossed my mind when Caddyshack was on uncensored a couple of weeks ago and I missed it. Same goes for Garage Sale - one of my favorite episodes from That 70's Show.
