.....whose blood runs orange through and through? Who grew up in an orange blood household? Who is raising an orange blood household themselves?

I do not believe we are in a dumpster fire, and no im not living in fantasy land. I think we have issues, yes, but the phrase, "We are not beating (insert opponent here)," will never darken my lips. Call me old fashioned. I have a 13 year old son whose first outfit as soon as he took his first breath was orange, whose closet is not trendy, its orange. The theme through the week before game time is who are we going to beat this week.

Im going to get roasted on here I know, but i have read through post after post of people saying we aren't beating Oklahoma, we aren't beating Vandy, we aren't beating Kentucky, we aren't making the playoffs, we will be punted out after the first round. Hey, you fan the way you want to fan. After the 500th post of saying we aren't beating somebody I just wanted to share how I fan. GBO 🍊🍊

It’s a reflection of the culture. And I’m not referring to Tennessee Football in of itself. Or by itself.

Vandy will be tough. Kentucky is Kentucky, and OU has the same problems as last year despite their record. Florida who knows but the road hasn’t been our strong suit.

People spend their whole lives as Tennessee fans being negative and not once stopping to realize how they’re wasting their own time. And lives.

We fan very similar ways. I wouldn't say I'm a sunshine pumper, I dont ignore issues we have, but at the same time I'm not calling for Heupels head or saying he will never win a title for us.

I go into every Saturday believing our team can compete with/beat whoever it is lining up on the other side.

My son too immediately represented Tennessee Orange at birth. His name is also Neyland! At 3, he knows that Saturday is Tennessee football day, he knows its the day he gets to put his jersey on and yell GO VOLS as loud as he can. His favorite son is "Running through that T".

We will always bleed orange.

I'm with you '81. Became a Vol fan in 1967 when I was 7 years old and saw my first game at Neyland. My senior year of high school, I turned down scholarship opportunities at Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, and Carson-Newman and accepted an invitation to walk-on at UT. Even though that didn't work out, I stayed in school and graduated. I love the State of Tennessee in general and the University of Tennessee in particular.

After coaching high school sports for 21 years, I finally learned how to simply enjoy the moment. I think I've learned how not to let losing a game ruin my evening or weekend (have to admit, it's sometimes very difficult to do so). The negative posts and some of the sheer ignorance some our fans display makes losing a game a little tougher to take.

I look so forward to college football season and try to enjoy every moment it brings me. 50% of teams are going to lose each weekend.

My thoughts, as I have said on here numerous times, is that every SEC game for the rest of our lives are going to be trench warfare. There are no guaranteed W's anymore in the SEC. That being said, going undefeated the remainder of the season would be nothing short of miraculous. Not impossible mind you, but our players need to live up to their potential and our coaching staff needs to improve their 60 minutes of game time coaching.

I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward and trashed the team on downstream games or possibilities. There’s not been a season I haven’t believed we could run the table or a game I’ve picked the VOLS to lose.

I’ve also been part of the post game discussions and have been openly critical. That’s what fans do. There should be some limits to criticism but fire away at players and staff. They’re on a big stage and will soon all be getting paid.

This said, Heupel needs to make changes in staff if he intends to keep his job. 😀
