Alot of the threads about the OCs have gotten a little off track... Has anybody heard anything about interviews, salaries and progress for our OC... and other position Coaching Vacancies??

A rumor on one of the Clemson boards is that we have offered Spence the job. I don't know if it is true. I'd hope not since he was the first interview. I think we will hire a new OC before hiring a new position coaches. I also think that, if there are to be positions opening up on the defensive side, they will either open up after the bowl or after we get the offensive side straightened out.

It would make sense to hire position Coaches after OC.. What defensive Positions will be opening... I assume based on the FL recruit report that Roper and Luke are gone...

Yeah, they are gone. We have to replace the entire offensive staff, save Adkins. The only position I could see opening on defense is DBs. Caldwell said he is staying and I don't think Brooks is looking around. Slade may "retire".

understood and knew that... Slade was going to Retire (Medical) I have been away from the World for a day or two and understood that WVA was interested in Locksley as a HC but have gone to Bowden and Locksley is not in the Running... Nothing on Hatcher and is Spence the right fit for us...

I think there could be some validity to us offering Spence. It's just speculation on my part but I've been surprised that neither side has commented since the interview.

Kippy Brown will be new OC from what I have heard. As far as other postion assistants haven't heard, probably will let new OC have a hand in that.

I know for sure tha CPF really likes Spence, but it would be wise of him to at least conduct a few more interviews before offering.

I'm not to sure about either, especially the second one. I think Fulmer has learned a lesson the hard way about what happens when you give the OC too much input on your position coaches......you lose them all at once.

yes abducted I will tell my wife that and see if she buys it... Good answer hope it works... I hope Fulmer has learned his lesson and this is a very good point.

Just saw a thread that we had offered Spence the Job. I really have to agree with HVWarrior on this one. interview around and then offer. Is Spence the right Choice for UT. First guess is NO But being abducted is really a set back...
