...what the timeline is, or who we’re looking at? I haven’t seen anything concrete other than Twitter rumors from random people about Patterson, Fuente, and Peterson. I would think Fulmer would want someone in place in the next day or two. Think it’ll be that quick or are we looking at another week here? This search is going to put me into cardiac arrest. Will be an incredible 30 for 30 one day. Hopefully one that ends with a coach who leads us out of the desert and into the promised land.

I would consider everything prior to Fulmer as a bad dream. We've only been on a coach search for a couple of days now. I would imagine within a week.

Honestly, I agree. I don’t know what to expect at the moment, but it’s definitely started over.

If it's quick, it's probably going to be a really bad hire.

If Fulmer is serious about getting the right guy, he's most likely going to need to spend time selling him on the program, building confidence that the athletic department is now stable.

I'm hoping we'll go a week without hearing about offers being made every day to Tom, Dick, and Harry, and then when we do hear something, it will be something definite (and will actually involve a good coach capable of winning here).

On that note, why in the hell were we flying all over the damn country to meet coaches when other schools were flying coaches to their campus to interview them? Made no sense! Just like with recruiting, we always talk about the power of this place and if we can just get players on campus, we have a shot. Why don't we take that same approach to our coaching hire? Getting prospective coaches here, letting them see the campus, the stadium, the facilities, meet people etc would have a huge impact on their decision I would think.

What their doing makes sense! Throwing on the breaks! Letting things quieten down some. Stop the media feeding frenzy. Phil will approach this like this is an opportunity of a lifetime. Because to Phil! It is! No more scrambling out of desperation to get ANYONE TO SAY YES TO GOING TO THE PROM. I'm sure they are behind the scenes all over this. Go Vols!

Honestly...I'm good now. Phil will make a good to great hire. Might take a bit to get the right fit but best believe that first actual rumor/truth that comes out of the AD this go round, that person will stick, it will be a done deal. There won't be any of this garbage we had last week. We are in good hands. If you feel otherwise...you are more than welcome to stay in said bad dream til this time next year.
